Am I the only one playing this? Seems great so far. Just got Balthier and Fran. Penelo is, suprisingly, not annoying.

 

I want to play it, but I am still working on Dragon Quest 8 and FF XI.

 

The demo wasn't very fun, but now that I've gotten the game itself, it's pretty great. Just put it on wait/gambits off, and you have the old battle system, more or less. I tend to use the gambits for other things. Like healing when my party is low on HP, instead of having to stop and enter the command every time. Even with a fully done gambit set up, you can only use it for minor battles. Bosses will eat your lunch if you try it on them.

 

My friends are probably getting it for me for a late B-Day gift, so I'll start playing this weekend.

 

Maybe I'll get it once it's used.. but there's something that doesn't rub right about bunny people.

 

Got it today at TRU. Got 3 games last week with the buy 2 get one free deal. None of them do I plan to keep. Traded one in today for FFXII, will trade one in in a couple weeks for Gears of War, and then the last one for Zelda.

 

I was looking forward to this game for so long. But then my PS2 pretty much died. Maybe if I ever get it working again, I'll pick it up.

 

i wanna get this but i might just end up getting Children of Mana instead (cheaper and i need all the money i have to fix my car - plus the Ski Expo is this Friday)

 

Australia isn't getting this until March at the earliest. Fucking stupid.

 

I want it. But I think I'll just get Final Fantasy 3 on the DS instead. Hopefully with the PS3 coming out, FF 12's price go down quickly.

 

Nope. Ever since I saw what the main character looked like, I lost all interest. This shall be the very first FF game that I do not play (FF10-2 does not count since it's not a FF game).

SO ! I got another question: how many of you that bought FF12 on the PS2 are gonna buy the continuation of the PS2 game on the DS ? Beat it on PS2, then buy the next part on the DS ! I love Squenix.

 

The DS one is a prequel.

 

Because you know just the look of a character is a valid excuse not to the get the game...actually that's all it is and that's an excuse. The other characters are awesome you should really research before just taking one look and saying "forget it".

 

The creator wanted a more mature looking Vaan but SE made him use a pretty boy due to the Japaneses fetish with that type.

 

That would sound pretty accurate.....gross....now I feel dirty playing this game.

 

Meh I really can't be bothered. I loved VII and VIII, never got round to playing IX, I despise X for it's shitty voice acting and the fact none of the characters interest me at all and X-2 can just go to hell. So unless XII is awesome the way VII and VIII I won't be picking it up.

 

I was very hesitant about getting it due to the demo in DQ8 but I am GLAD I shelled out $90 for the CE version and CE guide. 9+ hours into it so far and damned if it isn't turning out to be one of my favorite FFs. The battle system I am still getting used to, but you have GOT to love the beautiful game and the voice acting is superb (kind of wondering how I'll be able to put up with X's awful VA when I go back to finish it). The story so far is top-notch.

 

i want this game so bad i'm willing to do something nasty in order to get it!
