Glad somebody caught the sarcasm. :)

I was being sarcastic (and maybe a little sardonic).

While Lego may be the largest building-block toy company in the world, Hasbro is the second-largest toy company in the world. Would Hasbro realistically be able to buy out Lego? I sincerely doubt it. But there's no way Lego is financially powerful enough to buy out Hasbro. They're no Disney. ;)

    Keep working on that.

    Remember that whole sarcastic thing...

Honestly, I dont think either one will be buying anyone anytime soon. But with the way things have been going, if I were to say which looks like the better, more financially responsible toy Co right now, I'd go with Lego. And like I said, I don't even like Lego.

Remember back when it was considered an insult to call a Transformer a "Bionicle knockoff"?

Twas not that long ago, if I do recall....

    Funny how things change.

If you take a close look at them you can tell they don't have very much in common with bionicle other then a superficial resemblance.

unfortunately this whole they are just bionicle kneejerk isn't going to go away anytime soon i'm sure

I finally remembered what these reminded me of. Hasbro used to have an action figure line called XEVOZ.

These look pretty cool! I'd get Bumblebee, but I see a possibility to make Guiltaur out of the Prime & Megatron sets.

Oh, I will. And you keep working on that sunny disposition. ;)

Agreed. Again, I wasn't being serious with my original comment. Just poking fun at conspiracy theorists who have already made that statement or similar ones.

That seems to be rather simplistic and subjective criteria to assess one company's ability to buy another company. Also I think it's been proven many times over through the history of commerce that you don't have to be financially responsible to buy anything.

But this whole argument is relatively moot. Why would Hasbro even bother considering the purchase of a building block company when they now have their own in-house division that does largely the same thing? Hence my comment about them buying Lego being tongue-in-cheek.

I'm just going stop here and say I really don't care. My original comments were not meant to be taken any more seriously then you claim your's were. And yet, here you go.

I've gotten into too many snarky "I'm smarter then you" arguments on here. I dont need it. I'm sure you know all of whatever you are talking about and are a guru of sarcasm.
I tip my hat and say good day sir.

at first I was like "wat" at the basics being more expensive. but then I realized the others are more-or-less cheaper, and it balanced out. interest to see where they go, but not sold on the idea much right now.

Bumblebee caught my eye. If he looks good in person I'll probably get him.

Thinking about it some more, I'm surprised there's more "Bionicle Transforrmers!" talk with these than "Built To Rule Part Deux", especially given the amount of pre-molded/built parts.

Well, apparently we both need to work on our Internet sarcasm skills. But I'm willing to drop it as well and I return the tipping of the hat to you.

To be fair these resemble late Bionicle/Hero Factory/Marvel-DC Superheros more then they do BTR. These actually have decent robot modes albeit with kibble. They are recognizable as robots rather then some odd blocky thing with arms, legs and a head thrown on it.

This! When these come out, I am hoping we get an entire expansive thread devoted to this. (And by "this", I mean other imaginative combinations, not necessarily an entire thread of Guiltaur... not that he doesn't deserve one. :)  )

Oh, I agree. I'm just surprised there aren't more comments like that.

I think I'll be getting these...seeing as I do like the Bionicle and Hero Factory lines. These look interesting to me.

I don't understand how people are saying these look like Bionicle, Bionicle was usually a crazy looking mask head with random bits handing on it and were all spindly.

These look like Transformers with solid pieces, and Lego was a copy of a previous company it's just people have seemed to forgot.

That Blitzwing looks great, I would love these to replace the main line and be affordable.

$15 dollar deluxes are getting out of hand for the size.

That Soundwave looks like it could be remade into Thundercracker with Starscream's head. I liked the Bionicle and Hero Factory figures (unfortunately they seem to be going on a downward spiral), so I guess I will like this too.
