It would be cool if she was badly damaged and the Insecticons rebuild her as one of their own and she becomes a sort of hive queen. This would also be cool to get a redeco / mold of her with some more insecticon aspects and colors.

 

I'm 50/50 on this topic.

 

Honestly, other than pissing Arcee off, I never felt she brought much to the table. Almost every decepticon already was doing the 'Everyone for themselves' thing, so she didn't add much there, and in general, I felt she was another wasted plot thread.

With the writer's tendency to tease a plot idea, stomp on it once, and then leave it forever to go start up the next 'epic' storyline, I could very easily see them bringing her back for an episode or two, making it seem like her return is a major shift in everything, only to drop her again just as quick.

I could also see them never mentioning her again.

And I wanted to like her. Heir to Black Arachnia, and all.

I lost the ability to take her seriously after seeing what the Japanese did to her.

 

BW Transmetal Blackarachnia was the equivalent of a Voyager when released. In a box instead of a bubble card.

 

I guess she might've survived the explosion. She was in a stasis pod after all, which I assume are built to protect the occupant.

But if all she does is give Arcee fresh excuse to go 'All my partners are dead!' again then no. But if they're going to have a series called 'Beast Hunters' it would be useful to revive one of the few beast characters already established in the series. Just do something useful with her.

Give her a new toy, preferably Voyager. One with a preoper spider mode. Hasbro can shove as many beastie spikes on it as they like. Just don't make her day-glo.

That would be actually creepy not to mention it also makes sense seeing how some Insecticons would likely want a new ruler since the other Decepticons don't seem to respect them as much.

 

Then it makes me question why having the Insecticons become Decepticon grunts in the first place.....

 

Perhaps Shockwave programmed their minds to follow the Decepticons the minute they were created. I can see him doing that since he is their creator.

Well, I wouldn't say Shockers actually created the Insecticons, Kaijuguy. Depending on whether you count FoC in the same continuity as Prime, Shockwave is not their creator, but simply uses specific frequency technology to bring the bugs under his control when they came to Cybertron's surface in search of Energon.

But then again, those ones are very different from the Prime Insecticons, who appear to all have a capacity for sentience and speech. Given their immediate deference to Megs after Airachnid's defeat, it's possible Insecticons simply follow the strongest warrior by virtue of strength in combat.

 

I believe that's the reason.

He didn't create them, he discovered and them experimented on/modified them.

 

Well okay I made a mistake on that part but still Shockwave did have a lot to do with them so it is likely that he programmed many Insecticons to follow the Decepticons.

 

I want Arcee to have a different nemesis, so no.

 

I'd like maybe Slipstream to be a new nemesis for Arcee.

 

I'm going with no, kind of like the thought of her getting crushed.
