Makes this next final week till he is in hand even harder. Is it me or is there an over abundance of price bitching with this release? I wasn't interested in MP11 but what was that launch price?

 

2 questions, what is that little silver piece that fits into where his hand is and is the Megatron gun a new version or the same one that came with MP Prime?

 

I think this guy is missing some paint apps, I'd like to see the triangle on his forehead painted silver. I'd also like to see his knee pads painted red. Like on the Mighty Mugg it's not that big of a deal I plan on making those changes myself but it would have been nice if they were already added.

The silver thing is the shocking tool Soundwave used in the episode of the G1 cartoon in which Skyfire made his first appearance and was duped into thinking he was a decpticon. It was used to subdue him.

As for the Megs gun, I believe it is a scaled down version so Soundwave can actually hold it (as well as the seekers).

 

Does Laserbeak have dies cast?
It sure looks like it in the pictures. Just like the original.

 

It's also used in the episode "fire in the sky" he used it outside a pyramid in Peru. For like 2 seconds. Lol

 

No one else might have this problem, and I'm trying to overlook it but it's bothered me that he's got buttons on his crotch piece. Maybe it's cause they're part of the alt mode and not something designed for robot mode. IDK

I think you're right. If I recall it started at $150 for preorders, then was increased to either 179 or 189.

Now you're lucky to find it retail for under $250

I think the bitching is more apparent because it is a more desirable figure.

I was going to pay that, got funds from selling some old power rangers stuff, and TF source was out (wanted the free shipping). Checked through the junkion here though luckily and scored a mib one for $130 shipped. Made my day.

I think the price for SW is ok though. I'm still going to wait on a US hasbro release though, kinda think it's inevitable. Just other places money has to go this year so gotta pick and choose carefully.

Based on the pricing for Masterpiece Optimus Prime, Thundercracker and Rodimus, I gotta think if this gets release stateside, we're looking at $100 to $130 with Laserbeak, Rumble and Ravage included.

 

Well even if it doesn't release this fall I don't see resellers price exceeding $200 shipped so you should be ok to wait.

For example, you can still get MP-11 for $190 shipped.
