Excited about Arnold returning to Conan, but pretty indifferent about the Terminator thing.

I actually liked Salvation; at least parts of it. Bale as John Conner should have been more awesome than it was, though.

I'd really love Arnold to do another Predator movie.

 

IF Arnold is the Terminator again..he'd have to be the antiquated model, display only.  

 

with a zimmer! instead of a hummer

I dont think the aging even needs to be explained. Skynet grew human skin so it would be as authentic as possible, why would it spend time and resources in making sure it didnt age? Looking like a 90 year old isnt going to have an effect on its combat capabilities. If anything it would only give it more credibility since most people are going to be less wary of an old man knocking on the door asking for help than a 30 year old.

I also expect they are intened to have a pretty short shelf life so most would be damaged to the point a disguise is useless, or destroyed long before they noticably aged.

 

They would have but then 9/11 happened and comedies featuring terrorists would just look insulting.

I think maybe now they could try that.

 

I agree on T3 that it was alright but at least it was rated R but T4 i agree that it was a neutered to kids PG-13 travesty that not even Christian Bale could save and i didn't pay a dime to see in theaters and had to wait for the R-rated director's cut which was a slight improvement but still left me cold. Terminator is never intended for kids despite there was merchandising of T2 back in 1991 as this franchise was meant for adults with it's R-rating. I've been a fan of Terminator since i was 7 when i rented the first one on video and saw T2 5 times in theaters at 10 as i even had nearly all the T2 merchandise as it was one of my obsessions that year. Terminator 3 was enjoyable and did had Arnold reprising his role but it felt a bit light with the comedy side but still stuck to the R-rated formula and Miss Lokken was hot i should say.

Who's glad this is going back to the R-rated formula? i am and even on youtube and on an article the production company behind this movie stated "We are definitely going back to being rated R as god and James Cameron stated", that's a relief as one PG-13 installment was enough. That was the same thing for Aliens and Predator when ti had one PG-13 installment known as AVP as that blew badly and Fox learned their lesson with the fans as they went back to the R-rated formula that made the Alien/Predator movies what they were with Prometheus and Predators and intended for adults.

 

& don't forget T2 3D Battle Across Time of which you can see the cinematic section on Youtube! it's been on there for decades now

It was also the feeling of not wanting to portray a certain group of people as terrorists.

 

I really love only the first 2. The third was more of a rehash of the second. And that they filmed mostly in daylight took away a lot of the mood the first two movies had.

 

True Lies 2 should be made, come on James Cameron give us TL 2. 9/11 was a horrible event i know but that was a long time ago, the world moved on since 9/11 and i thought TL2 should be made.

 

I'd rather see that than Avatar 2 and 3 for sure.

 

just seen Arnie on the news coz he's in London promoting The Last Stand & he once again confirmed Terminator 5.

 

What kind of role would Arnold be playing in Terminator 5 and Conan at his age? Certainly not the main characters.

 

Actually depending on the script for Conan, he can still be the main character as 'King Conan', an old warrior making a grab for a final chance at death and glory.

 

aye that could be the case....coz isn't Jason Momoa gonna be playin Conan again?
