Hmm... all looking good - except for (and it -might- just be the pic/my eyes so please do excuse me if that's the case) the faction symbol on the chest. It looks like it's at a slight angle (clockwise by a few degrees) - and for that money, I'd expect it to be straight!

Hopefully there won't be any major issues in hand but visually this has got to be the closest to perfection a Transformers toy has ever gotten.

 

I like him a lot ; I however do not '£160.00' like him.

I'd pay no more than Sixshot costs at the very most.

 

I'm in the same boat. My wife thinks these masterpieces are around $20 to $30 and I want to keep it that way. Lol!!

 

QC on this will determine if i ever buy another misb takara masterpiece. i am trying to sell my sideswipe as we speak...

 

OK, do all of these come with the Energon cubes?

I see in the bubbled picture of him, the energon cube is clearly there. I doubt Takara did seperate packaging for just the energon cube. Or did they?

 

Big feet and kibbly back when transformed but that doesn't stop this from looking totally awesome. The back isn't that bad, it just looks a bit 'open', like someone lost the cover to the battery compartment. I can totally live with that though. Overall this thing looks perfect.

 

MP Soundwave looks totally awesome, however in this case I'm going to wait for the Hasbro version. I'm sure Hasbro is going to come out with their version as well and maybe with a different cassette package with more cassettes.

Given the Takara mp-10 and the Hasbro one was so similar, i'd expect Soundwave to be of equally good quality by Hasbro later.

 

I had some QC issues with my MP Sideswipe as well, a lot of parts were missing paint apps. I have Soundwave on order as well, and I share your concerns. I hope the panels on the sides of the legs are secure and don't flop around. Judging from the pictures, it doesn't look like the tab in anywhere. Hopefully, Takara will take more pride on this one, seeing that he is quite expensive.

 

Never saw this mentioned anywhere. At least not that I remember. However, in the pictures I've seen (official and unofficial) there have been clear energon cubes, and pink cassette cases. Which is kinda cool considering in G1 whenever the 'cons would make a stack energon they'd all get compressed from fat cubes to energon pizza boxes. So, if the pink cases come with all of the cassettes that are going to get released you can have your own stack of compressed energon. Whilst Soundwave is pumping out the empty cubes to be filled.

Long story short...I needs muh crack.

I think there's only the clear energon cubes but there is a site where you can print out the pink papercraft to fill in the energon cube to give it a pink look like the cartoon. As for the cubes themselves, i thought the cubes were an amazon exclusive only, much like MP sideswipe's pile drivers.

 

No they all come with one, the amazon set comes with another two I think. My Reflector is ready and waiting to collect!!

 

NOPE! Every Soundwave comes with 1 energon cube the Amazon Soundwave comes with 2 extra cubes.

Amazon Soundwave = 3 energon cubes.

 

What would we do with 2 extra cubes?

 

Could print out the papercraft energon cube fillers, cut them out, fold and them place them in the extra cubes to simulate them being filled with energon.
