South Park did something edgy and offensive to people, inform the press! PS: Sky = blue, grass = green, world still spinning.
I laughed because I knew there would at least be a guy in costume like that.. but that it was him make the humor even darker. If anyone was brave enough to do it... Southpark would.
I thought it was a funny episode and wasn't offended by the Steve Irwin thing. I think some people are too uptight and need to chill.
dude.. they put a sting ray hanging out of his chest.. not cool and seeing him in hell at all would make people very upset irwin wasn't just some famous celebrety, who got famous by being rich or high in power, he was just a regular guy with a TV show, that people loved and thought was an amazing guy. it does bother me that they stuck one of my fav people in hell, especially after he just died.. and they go and hang a sting ray out his chest.. no, sorry, thats not cool at all
Meh... I agree it's hypocritical to NOT complain about the other dead celebrities on there and only complain about this one. They even said on the show that it was too soon to be doing that kind of gag. They knew what buttons they were looking to press and they pressed them. I only have one thing to really say about this. Biggie Smalls. Biggie Smalls. Biggie Smalls.
they put everybody in Hell. In all the episodes involving Heaven, the only one's I remember being up there are Kenny, the angels, and Sadam
It hasent been 10 years yet, It's not funny like aids....They jacked my costume idea southpark did it first </3
How? Satan kicked him out of the party because people were offended. He didn't say, "Hey! Great costume! That guy deserved to die!" Did he say that? No. So then why are you offended? I suppose you were also offended about Princess Diana and Ghandi being in hell?
I love how the Catholic Priests walking around with little naked boys on leashes gets no attention, but the Steve Irwin thing, man, that's not cool man. Honestly for me, the most shocking part of the episode was hearing Butters say nigga. I had to rewind the tivo back a few times just to make sure I actually heard him correctly. I laughed my ass off at that part real hard. Butters always does the stuff that makes me laugh the most, like when he sang that song to his penis while urinating earlier this season.
Of course it was in bad taste. South Park is ALWAYS in bad taste. The entire point of the show is to challenge peoples ideas of decency.
What SP has always done brilliantly is manage to have their cake and eat it too. Ex1: Mr Hankey - The statement: complaining about offensive imagery results in only shit being acceptable. Therefore people who complain about Mr. Hankey being offensive become part of the group being mocked. Ex2: The Movie - A vulgar, offensive film about children being taken to see a vulgar offensive film. Ex3: The "shit" episode - Says the word as many times as possible to prove that standards and decency have hit the toilet.
Hi Mr. Weiner! How are you? Do you have to tinkle? Yes I do! LOL. I'm sorry, Butters was so white in that episode! "Don't ice me in mah grill homie!"
I finally got around to seeing the episode and the Steve Irwin bit was the lest of the possibly offence material of the episode. I mean they even address the notion of it being “too soon” in the episode.
