4x2 studs means the piece is 2 studs wide and 4 studs long :::: < like that. It makes a HUGE diffrence I put the original 3x2 stud plate ( the one that looks like this ::: ) under it so it makes a kinda step.
You did it! You've been beastin' on these sets of late. You mos def have to post pics of your display once you've got everything assembled. Here's an idea...it's something I did at least. Now that you got the HH, you should track this down.... Lego Monster Fighters GHOST GRANDFATHER CLOCK 30201 Animated Review - YouTube I tucked the clock and the ghost on the first floor of my Haunted House. There's a perfect spot, when you have the house open, towards the right of the front door and just left of the split/sliding fireplace. Once you build the house you'll see. I think the two sets complement one another tremendously like peanut butter does jelly baby! I mean, what's more symbolically spooky than an old grandfather clock in a decrepit eidolic domicile?
I looked at my dark ninja from the lair set and it's Bradford. He just needs hair. The facial hair matches and the outfit minus the head piece. Also who has ordered from Bricklink before? I want some more Marvel minifigs.
Thanks! I guess Legos are like Doritos.. once you start you can't stop! I need to find a suitable place to display all the MH sets at once. I may need to get some Lego plates to put on top of my dresser so I can display them without the pieces moving around and to fill the gap in the back of the dresser.
Hey everybody, just wanted to relay an awesome deal I got today. Stopped by my local Meijers and checked out there clearance section and found two gems I couldn't pass up on. I Picked up the LotR "Mines of Moria" and "Helms Deep" sets for 50% off! I was ecstatic, seeing as how I have been pining over those two for a while now. Looking forward to building 'em. Anybody else found any great after Christmas deals on sets?
sorry I couldn't reply sooner...I'm also sorry to say I probably won't be of much help to you, but I can tell you that many years ago I did order a few pieces on Bricklink. From what I can remember, I had to create an account. Then I used that account to buy from two different sellers. I think each seller has their own policies and whatnot. So your buying experience may vary depending on the seller. Again, that is from a few years ago and also from memory. It may have changed now. Anyway, I hope this helps! Helm's Deep at 50$ off is gonna be hard to top! Myself, I found the Star Wars Ewok Attack set for $15 (reg. $35 in Canada). That's probably as good as it gets for us canucks with our crazy Lego prices.
Hi everyone, never realised how many people here on the boards really like Legos... Well my Girlfriend has become a Lego nut herself... I wanted to share one of her first customs with everyone... I figured it would be ok since I have seen a couple in this thread... I hope you like it as much as I do... She made herself, her version of Ghostrider... Yes she made the flames on his head and hand...
It's pretty much what grayfox said. You have to make an account, then from there look up whatever you want to buy. I can't stress enough do your research before buying from anyone. There's a little colored brick (colors vary depending on how much feedback the seller has). If the seller has bad feedback see why, etc. It's more trustworthy then say ebay, but you have to do your research first since there are unfortunately some asshats who want to swindle honest folk. It doesn't happen often, but just be careful anyways. Once you've found someone that has what you want and is reliable, check out their splash page and store terms (usually it's the same info, but depending on the seller they may post additional info). Then just add the parts and such that you want and check out like you would any other site. Also if there is anything wrong with your order ie: parts missing etc ALWAYS contact the seller first. I've had it happen one or two times, but always had things rectified rather quickly whether it's the parts being sent out or a partial refund. Just remember be polite and don't pester them.
My daughter got into Lego's the past two years, which has brought me back to them. I only have two sets currently, the tie-fighter and the bat-wing & joker copter. but she has a bunch of lego city and ninjago sets. She showed me the lego city police helicopter she put together this weekend very nice set.
Nice pics NSJ23. I've been eyeing that Samurai mech for some time but not ready to get into another theme just yet.
LEGO Iron Man 3 War Machine Minifigure - LEGO Minifigures This news story links to custom minifigs on guy does. His work is pretty good Edit: Here's a direct link to his store. http://www.firestartoys.com/?Query=Christo&x=0&y=0&asrc=wg
Lego is a toy that you're never too young or too old for, they even make Duplo and other Pre-K safe brands for little builders. Unfortunately it is an expensive hobby, I have had a large number of sets over the years, as has my brother. I gave some away several years ago to my young cousin, I regret passing on some of those sets because they were jolly good fun, and yet I would never have enough space for all of them these days. I barely have enough space for them all in storage and broken apart, let alone built up 100%, unlike Transformers I don't often put large displays together. Or take photos of them either. Once you fall in love with LEGO it is very hard to give it up completely, there's just something, either about the designs, the sets, the Themes or the Mini-Figures that constantly thrills you and draws you back into the hobby, no matter how long you've been gone from it. LEGO is also a brand name that is much better recieved than Hasbro's IPs. Not that there's anything truly wrong with Hasbro's stuff, I still find myself enjoying TFs and things, the trouble is Hasbro is primarily an Action Figure brand name while LEGO is a Building Toy brand name and company, one of the only toy companies that I know of that hasn't just packed up and shipped all manufacturing to China for the sake of saving a dollar. They still adhere to Quality, and while they do have factories in China, those factories are expected to adhere to the same levels that the other factories do. This is what attracts kids, parents and collectors to the products time and time again, it's something I find lacking when it comes to Mega Blocks, who's impressive climb to make better quality products continues to intrigue me, but I still wouldn't buy a Mega Blocks set for anything. It isn't that I don't enjoy what Mega Blocks does, as a competitor of LEGO, personally I just don't feel the same attachment to them. And their Mini-Figure design is, difficult to get behind, because it is so inconsistent. The Halo figures look goregeous, I've been tempted a few times by those, but I don't follow Halo and have no interest in it so why waste money on a product I'd regret buying before even opening it? Kre-O is really quite consistent when it comes to their Mini-Figure designs and they have characters that I have always loved to death, they aren't quite at the level of quality in their brick designs though. Mostly the clip system parts, those things stress out so badly I'm worried constantly about potential breakage. The same can happen with LEGO products, I have lost a lot of Mini-Figures hands over the years due to snapping and rough play. (Or as an adult because it fell off the shelf when the cat tried jumping up there and got crushed by a heavy book underneath it... SIGH.) And why am I typing all of this out? Eh, felt like it I suppose, also wanted to see if others share this opinion or wanted to add anything to it. At the end of this month I'm planning to get my first TMNT sets, in fact I'm hoping to get all of them within a few short months, provided too much isn't taken away by Fortress Maximus' purchase. Now I have a very important quandry I need to unstick/unravel, as a member of Brickset who has reviewed everything and anything he owns, I find myself three reviews away from reaching my 400th review on the site. And while they aren't all as well recieved as others, I do strive to maintain a certain quality with my reviews. The trouble is I'm just not sure what item I should aim to get for my 400th review. I do consider it a milestone as far as reviewing goes, so I have to ask. If you could choose between any 25-50$ set from the following Themes, which one would you get to make a milestone review on? Lord of the Rings Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Friends Legends of Chima
