Except the spiky crap is just on him, not stuck to him.

Will depend on how Bulkhead looks at Deluxe scale. I recall thinking I would hate a shrunk down movieverse Ratchet, but honestly he didn't look too bad in Deluxe, so this could work out also.

And as long as Smokescreen's 'armor' is removable I'm sure I'll love him. He's just a great design regardless. And if not, well, I still have the AM version.

But you're missing his point. This Smokescreen isn't a remold of anyone; he's his own mold.

If you look closely at those pics you can see that certainly the legs are at least a partial reuse of the KO mold. Look at those kneecaps and tell me that's not KO. So if they've used the KO mold as at least a base it stands to reason other parts may be from KO as well.

Regardless, Smokey looks great. Still not sure that his shadow spike 'necklace' is removable, but I suppose we'll all know soon enough. Won't make me hate the toy if not, but would be nice if it is.

That just isn't true. Although the detailing may be similar, they did not use the legs and other parts from the knockout mold.

Very true - look at screencaps of Knockout & Smokescreen - they do have similar knee armor.

    Compare:

    vs
    [IMG]

They both have W or trident-shaped knee armor.
Though, personally I'll admit that painting them red instead of black could cause confusion...

Smokescreen looks pretty cool! It sucks that he's going to be all spiky and not smooth, but I'm glad to see that he's getting his own mold. :D  I'm proably not going to pick up Bulkhead.

No, they aren't. Smokescreen here is an all-new mold. Similar design=/=mold reuse.

    bulkhead looks bad.

I'm only going to get Smokescreen if that blue armor is removable so he looks like he does in season 2.

I like the fact that we're getting a smokescreen but will reserve much of my judgement once there are better images available.

What I have said about all beast hunters figures so far is that I don't like the spikey stuff. Hopefully it is removable.

I can't say with 100% accuracy, but it looks like pieces of the alt mode are permanently attached to the forearms. Reminds me of a cyberverse figure.

Can't say for sure though til we get some better pics.

Really? That's surprising just because they're in New York already. Typically we get stuff very late, but I ran across Wave 1 at my TRU on Christmas eve.. just a day or two after the first sighting. Was hoping that meant they were out everywhere.. I should have known better.

Yeah, I'm missing out in Oklahoma - no overstock clearance prices (b/c they never overstocked) & nothing from FOC or BH yet...

I saw that too - looks like the doors are attached to his arms, but it also looks like he has door wings in the carded photo...

Gotta see some in-hand pics to make sense of this mold.

Well if it makes you feel any better, the prices here are a joke. My Lazerback came at the princely sum of $20 and change after tax. I have to hit TJ Maxx to get prices people in, say, Ohio pay at TRU. If I need two or three figures in a wave it's actually cheaper to get someone to buy them for me at a Wal-Mart in their state and mail it to me.

Because their either A.Pictures they found online that they're sharing or B.If they're showing the box then they're probably taking the pic at the store and haven't bought it yet.
