Laserback FTW!

 

Found a case in MA this morning. I'm surprised and saddened that they are starting to appear so soon. This means the end of the PriD line and no Dreadwing/Skyquake for me.  

 

My TRU actually had them! They had two Wheeljacks, one Lazerback, and one Bumblebee. Lazerback is mine. Also got the Stunticons for my son as a Christmas present.

 

We still haven't got the FE Voyagers in our area yet... if that tells you anything.. but we do have Soundwave and Soundblaster.. go figure..

 

Well blossom hill/San Jose had them, got my set. One set left on the floor.

Went to all 4 TRU's near San Diego last night, and found a single BH soundwave. The thing looked like it was run over by a tractor though, the bubble was crushed and the card back was crumpled. But the figure inside was safe and sound!

Does anyone else think that the bumblebee in the Polar set looks like Bug Bite?

 

Wheeljack looks to be the best of the retooled deluxes.

 

Had a case of the deluxe Beast Hunters at the Times Square TRU in NYC this morning. Didn't look for the Bot Shots

 

Yup. If only they'd do a G1 legends recolor set like these. Imagine if they redeco'd all the G1 legends of these figures in these colors, especially the stunticons! Instant buy, for sure.

 

Just found them at a TRU in Wisconsin, very surprised by that.

Picked up a Wheeljack and a Laserback. Laserback is pretty great, but Wheeljack, or mine at least, was a mess, loose joints and the arms would fall off all the time.

 

I just picked up Lazerback myself. Mine had a missassembly that I didn't notice before I unboxed it, mine has two right "ears." Is TRU cool about exchanging stuff like this?

Aside from that I've got to say I was very pleasantly surprised by this guy. Not too happy about the price hike ($18.49 in New York! $20 and change with tax!) but a very fun figure. Cooler than he looks in pictures. Also saw Soundwave and Wheeljack (no Bee!?) and thought they looked better in person than in pics- especially Soundwave- but as I already have the molds I reckon I can wait for clearance on those guys.

 

Yeah, they're here in Richmond, Virginia as well.

 

Just saw the FE Voyagers yesterday..

Which means the Beast Hunters should be here soon.. probably tomorrow..

 

But getting it at discount is a good thing is it not?

Picked up a Lazerback - fun little toy! Hoping the other Deluxes Predacons are just as good.

 

RID Prowl, Minicon Prowl, Prowl the Owl, Animated Prowl have nothing to do with each other that just called them that as they were police vehicles (or an owl).

Now you might argue that Lion Prowl is the same guy as Owl Prowl or that even they are the same as G1 Prowl but the others akong with things like the Spychangers are just cynical attempts to keep the name in use - My only objection to such is that sometimes what they stick the name Prowl on might be more suited to Streetwise (as in the case of the Alternator) or some other characters including original names as I alluded to with the name Swashplate being new.

I just happen to think because it's a Cop car it should and has to be only Prowl. It is a little annoying that I have to take Hasbro's Botshot name of Polar Bumblebee and ignore it as that's clearly Bugbite and I will treat him as such.

 

hrmmm 440844 item number doesnt seem to work when ever i call. usually they can tell me it is that item but say nothing comes up.
