I liked Dreadwing. He talks of honour, and occasinally adheres to it, but he's also a 'Con of convenience who's more than happy to break conduct if it suits him or his master/cause. Still, his loyalty and caring for his brother was nice, and his ultimate choice to pick his brother over his faction, and granting the Autobots the edge they needed, was quite noble of him.

A shame he died, though. He was a pretty cool guy.

Starscream, Jack, Ratchet and that's just about it. Unfortunately.

 

I thought season one had plenty of 3D characters. However, no ones said Breakdown yet so I'm going to say him. He was interesting because he showed a lot more depth that the Decepticons are all evil and selfish. The subtle things like bantering with Knock Out and the vehicons hinted that there is camaraderie among deceptions and was a break away from cookie cutter bad guys, emotional conflict about being saved by bulkhead could have open up more for development. Bulkhead said they had history, what was it? So IMHO, Breakdown was one of the most interesting characters.

 

Starscream was absolutely the best. He tends to be, in most fiction, since his character trait of "Usurp control of Decepticons" can be explored from several different angles. However, he's becoming more comic relief, which I'm not enjoying.

 

I'm the only guy who'll say it. but Arcee as well.

Unlike G1 and TFA Arcee she has a character. You may not like her but it's still the furthest we've gotten with her.

Starscream- theres just so much they can work with. Coward, narcissist, suck-up, traitor, anger issues, liar, arrogant, bombastic, and power-hungry.
Despite this, he's the only 'Con that appears genuinely upset at the loss of Cybertron.

It's Jack.

Check that range of emotions that covers different scenarios realistically and consistent character growth.

Second is Miko.

Third is Arcee.

Fourth is Starscream.

Fifth is nobody.
