I find it rather lazy when we need someone who speaks English to tell us what beeps mean. I do think George Lucas was smart enough to use it sparingly and realistically as if the characters are actually having a conversation rather than what Raf does which is practically breaking the 4th wall to tell the audience what Bumblebee is saying every single time he says something.

TFP, easily. I hated the "radio" speak.

Yes Star Wars is much trickier with it so you don't even realize that another character is almost translating for R2. Just works so much better when 3P0 bickers "no, I don't think we should go that way", instead of a Raf having to tell other characters exactly what Bumblebee said.

It also adds a bit of charm that everyone in the Star Wars universe can understand what R2 is saying so we are the only ones who can't understand him.

I voted TFP Bee. I just think the radio would have sounded out of place and sort of stepping into Soundwaves territory. I like better that only Soundwave would speak like that.

Soundwave seems to have gotten his gimmick from the Predator movies. Which just adds to the creepy level that makes the character a very cool twist to an old familiar character.

I love the way Movie Bee communicated. That's how I want all future BBs to speak

The beeps are annoying but better than his Animated voice. Movie radio is better than both. Still prefer G1 voice.

I prefer voice over the annoying sound any day especially when it comes to machine. So neither one for me. G1 Bee all the way.

After the 1st movie I didn't like movie bee anymore....and beeping doesn't bother me it's just that they don't on bee enough like they did in operation bumble bee to it was interesting seeing how he acts. The radio talk though is an interesting idea but it would been a little out of place in prime

Radio 'Bee, because viewers can understand what Radio 'Bee is saying without needing another character around to do some variation of "Yes, Bumblebee, [repeat what Bumblebee just beeped]", like it's Pokemon or something.

The main problem I have with the mute BB thing in general is that, in either case, the loss of his voice box really isn't much of a disability. With Radio 'Bee, he can't talk at all, but is proficient at picking out radio clips to easily get his point across to humans or fellow Cybertronians. With Beeping 'Bee, he's at no disadvantage when interacting with fellow Cybertronians, since they all seem to understand his beeps with no difficulty; he lost the ability to speak one language, but the rest of his species is fluent in the one he can speak. It's only a minor inconvenience around (most) humans.
