:D  almost managed to forget that movie.

Gorgeous alt-mode. Hmmm resistance is futile. Looks great next to Sideswipe.

If it helps, when they delivered my Thundercracker the same thing happened. They don't update the 'at customs' comment very quickly, in fact mine was updated the day before it was delivered! Sat there for ages so was concerned but the best bit was no customs charges at all.

Wasn't there some other swapped bio's during G1 as well?

Hoping we get some news on the Not-Stunticons in the New Year. I'm looking forward to them more than the FP Headmasters.

The only good thing about it is the costume, that is really good.

Can someone help me out with something? Its not related to Transformers, but its to do with customs.

I bought a Nintendo DS game from the US because there's no UK release planned, and it costed like $50.
However, I got charged £20 customs fees?
Is this a mistake because how can they justify charging £20 on a $50 game!?!?

The Duocons Battletrap and Flywheels got everything changed, including their names, I think.

£20 won't be just the fee. Just for parcel force to handle the item it's an automatic £8-9 is range. Plus the fee and tax. It's a joke but not all of the £20 is the fee so it might well be correct?

Yes, at least £8 of that is the Parcel Force 'administration fee', that leaves £12 which is chargable on the combined cost of the item and the shipping, so it sounds about right.

I've looked it up and apparently it's £8 if it's just normal airmail, but £13.50 if it's sent by EMS. I think there's a lesson there.

Pretty much if asking someone to mark it down make sure it's lower than $22, or if you just want to avoid the royal mail extortion get the seller to mark the form with "goods to be Customs cleared by the importer" which means Customs will have to get the money from you, rather than royal mail, so you only pay the tax not the extortion. Though this may take longer to sort out.

Yeah, it was normal airmail. I often just use the cheapest delivery option available due to limited funds haha.

I think they should just banned customs, it's just there to rip ppl of and for them to make money.

Better ban income tax, council tax and national insurance as well then.

    Right on comdrade ;)

On a serious note, I landed a decent bonus this year but after tax and NI barely leaving enough to square that nasty credit card balance, it feels like just about enough for an unexpected MP Soundwave & Tapes. I shouldn't complain that I can afford an extra toy and clear a large debt, what with loads of people unemployed or in working poverty, but I can't help feeling it's alot of tax that will get spent on some idiots duck house. I'd much rather have given that money directly to my unemployed neighbour who is looking after 3 kids on his own...

Just been to see the hobbit, was pretty good. I don't think it's a good as lord of the rings, but it was great being back in middle earth and seeing gollum again was worth the ticket price alone.

For those interested in lego bits, saw the new legends of chima sets out in my local asda. They don't float my boat (i'm looking for the new minfig packs), but hey.

Also, seeing as people are chatting about display cabnets, can anyone suggest a small, desk sized one, perhaps a tall-ish one with a footprint of about 20cm x 20cm?

Instead of this they should stop Parcelforce from being able to pay the customs fee which results in their £8-£13-50 clearance fee and give you the option of paying the customs fee yourself.

I still dont know how they are able to charge for a service that I did not agree to or want, and was not made clear to me or the sender prior to dispatch. I think that I am going to write a polite letter to Parcel Force to 'opt out' of their service for all future shipments and investigate what this means in terms of getting packages and paying import tax myself. I will see what they say to this.
