I mean he's dead and there are more toys in the new range to sell so as people have said they will maybe mention it once and that'll be it.

No-one's worried about Prime then? what with his twitchy arm at the end of the season.

But the main part of my last comment was how the show doesn't seem to make sense. in the old days they would only introduce a new character if it was to sell a a toy, but with this show, Breakdown, Smokescreen, the Insecticons, it just seems odd adding these characters in when there's no toy to buy(outside of Japan). I mean that's the shows whole point.

But that's a comment for a different thread.

I thought they didn't release toys as soon as they could have was because they wanted Prime to be a good, solid series (which IMHO does very well with the exception of a couple episodes) instead of a glorified toy commercial. (Transformers will always be a toy commercial, but Prime doesn't feel like one the way the Unicron Trilogy does with all its gimmicks)

I thought that reason they waited to release the toys was because it was being shown on a premium channel so needed time to build up a big enough base to shift stocks.

    You really believed Hasbro's reason?

No. When he fell a great distance in Flying Mind his body was sparking like crazy after the fall and he was just fine, without medical treatment. I'm not saying he will be fine come season three, just that the whole arm sparking or the fade away to black after showing his sparking arm, don't worry me--Optimus is going to die in this show or any other show ever again.

There are no Insecticon toys (yet), and Smokescreen is a slightly retooled Knockout. Breakdown, however, is a thing of beauty. Why he isn't available elsewhere is a surprise, but I figure it has something to do with the number of items released when toys are released.

Takara has been releasing two to three figures at a time every month for a while now--usually the last Saturday of the month. This practice doesn't sound like something American toy makers would do. Aren't figures usually released in waves and with more than a handful of characters?

Takara doesn't mind making new catalogs, showing off new characters every time they change the line up, I imagine Hasbro wants to do this as little as possible.

Everybody said Cliffjumper would never be mentioned again until he did multiple times plus even a flashback episode to show us him in action and alive.

Everybody said nobody would mention Breakdown's death again until they did. And then again. And then again. And then again.

So who knows? They might mention Dreadwing again. They might not. Depends on if it'll make sense for characters to find out or for Optimus to mention him.

Yeah, but with Breakdownand Cliffjumper they all had a episode after they died even if one was a flashback. I think he'd get like a sentence but could happen, he could turn out like his brother, but I think he won't do anything.

That hole that he got might have destroyed his whole system. So I would think he's dead.

    Probably this

Unless the Autobots have a way to see Dreadwing's corpse, they probably won't mention it at all.

i kinda wanna see Dreadwing get the Terrorcon treatment. and then a third sibling shows up, maybe Hooligan. I think the Dreadwing/Skyquake toy would look awesome in Hooligan's colors

I don't care for Breakdown because he's a Stunticon who has guzzled too much oil. I do like Silas and Dreadwing however. I think Dreadwing could've been like Scourge was in TF Cybertron.

You know. I was liking Dreadwing, but the way they just killed him off like that, just made him forgetable to me. I'm serious. I actually did forget that Megatron took him out. Kind of made me not want the figure anymore too.

I'm not certain if Megatron shot out his Deadwings Spark chamber but I would imagine him being dead as Megatron states that Starscream should never make him regret who he saved. There is slight possibility that is deception however and eventually some sort of miracle happens and he is not dead. Hard to think he would not try to rip Screams head off the first thing he does though.. I could mumble this long but I keep it short.. and skip right a head to finish my personal hopes..
Although Brakedown was in scrap condition we did see his hand on a jar. And although it as well may be just because Knock out is preserving his body or Silas's body in Brakedowns body.. either way.. I'm ever so lightly hopeful of seeing Brakedown pulling it trough.. Though this wish is rather far fetched.

Dreadwing was a really great character and I'm very disappointed at his demise. I'm sure Prime would feel disappointment at his loss -- as Prime seems to do, if Prime's still alive.

I think he's gone for good and I don't see them bringing him back--I think Hasbro would probably be more interested in presenting new characters (for marketing) to boost their sales figures than reanimating dead ones... Of course the Cliffjumper toy probably throws my theory out the door... Shrug
