Skyquake was alright for the half episode he was in I guess. Like others, he had potential but it didn't come into fruition. Makeshift had no personality really. "Gar I'm Wheeljack I'm not Wheeljack darn I lose hi Starscream whoops" then dies.

Kock Out is unfunny and pretentious, Airachnid is horrid in every way, and Dreadwing showed promise before his utterly moronic death, but didn't really do much. We had about three episodes where he was part of the main story, and only about two where he actually did something worth mentioning, then went out like a punk bitch in one of the most idiotic parts of the show.

Knock Out's alright. His vanity, profession, and Daran Norris's portrayal make him a fun character that I wouldn't mind seeing pop up again (though I'd prefer to see ze Doctor Scalpel fill the Decepticon Medic role again before KO).

I liked Airachnid as the lone serial killer/torturer she was originally, not so much the treacherous Decepticon who can talk to Insecticons she later became. Again, wouldn't mind seeing her reappear in another series.

Dreadwing, meh. I liked that he's a bomb expert and is loyal to Megatron without being Inferno/Lugnut-level loyal, but he didn't really leave much of an impression on me. He was just sort of... there.

Coincidentally, the 2 I'm pleased with have Kreons while the 3rd doesn't.

Knock Out is great! I like Dreadwing and Skyquake, they could be fleshed out some more, but they're good! Airachnid is meh. I find it interesting how they took Breakdown and Wheeljack, I'd like to see Wheeljack like this more often, just with more engineering background, though maybe with a little less "Wrecker". I LOVE this Smokescreen, I like how they went with Bulkhead. Arcee...I feel they could've chosen a different name, not "Chromia", but I want "Moonracer" to get more spotlight.

I love Knock Out. Dreadwing was pretty cool. Airachnid is essentially Blackarachnia

Yes. I freaking love Knock Out and I'm still hoping he gets in a real one-on-one brawl soon.

I still like Knock Out but he was much more interesting when Breakdown was still around.

Dreadwing, while he rips off a lot from Dinobot, I still liked him but wasn't handled well in the show

Arachnid on the other hand is just a cliched mess who will not be missed if she gets written out of the show. Why do people keep saying she's like Blackarachnia when the only things they have in common are their spider alt mode and a preference for being alone?

That's a kind of loose use of the word "new". None of the characters have personalities or names that are new to TF (except the name Airachnid) but there are original combinations. However many people don't seem to be counting Wheeljack despite him never been a bad ass swordsman before but do count Dreadwing despite there being many other characters named Dreadwing and characters with conflicted loyalties.

That's because Primejack barely counts as a character in the first place. He's an archetype at best.

Aside from Airachnid, none of these characters are new, their names were in use before Transformers Prime came along. Now, their looks and personalities, however, may be different from what they were before Transformers Prime.

I like all of them! Well, Skyquake, not so much. I didn't care much for his voice actor--didn't sound like he put much effort into his performance. Having only one episode, really, didn't help either.

Airachnid is great--man, I miss her! How can anyone hate on a huntress who brought Megatron to his knees once for sure and nearly again a few episodes later?

Knockout is a lot of fun too. I love his attitude more than anything. If Tracks were a Decepticon, I figure he'd be like Knockout.

Breakdown was a fun character, not too bright and extremely loyal to Megatron. I usually hate these types of characters, but not this time. Adam Baldwin made the character pretty likable, which probably explains the anger here about Breakdown's untimely death.

Dredwing was great! Too bad pushing up lug nuts was part of his destiny, he will be missed.

Wheeljack is okay, I guess, his new personality is a bit hard to get used to, as his G1 likeness makes me want something a bit more New York. His fighting prowess is a nice change however.

I can't remember anything about Smokescreen save for his color scheme and use of smoke, but that's okay, as this new one is MUCH better! I like how he reminds me of Hot Rod--I love his confidence. Nolan North really brings this young Autobot to life.

Knockout I like because we finally have a Decepticon medic as a main character. Scalpel only appeared once and Flatline is still a comic book character.

Dreadwing. Liked him hopefully we see more of him in the future. I have a idea for him....

Airachnid. Hate her because she got to become a Mary Sue Villian.

Breakdown....cool till he was killed off. shame really.

The Vehicons. Best looking troop builders this franchise has scene.

Arcee....One of my fav characters. Not perfect but a huge step in the right direction.

Knockout is awesome. Smokescreen is too. I love how he's the hot shot of the group. Dreadwing was cool too. Now Arachnid, I hate her.

By this criteria, Wheeljack should be included also.

I'm one of the only members of the fanbase that really took any liking to Arachind. I found her intimidating, which is the main thing I ask for in a villain, but her regular cat fights with Arcee made my feelings for both the characters grate.

Can't say anything about Dreadwing, because his representation was so minimal, I didn't even fully realize he was a character until one of the last episodes of season two.

Love Knockout, and it doth saddens me that he's shown minimally in other incarnations. Plus Darren Norris~

My feelings toward Smokescreen is indifferent to disliking. I never saw him as anything more than a walking plot device.

I would like to pose a question which one of these characters, if any would you like to see continue on to future Transformer seasons (Not ala Beast Hunters, but more so new seasons all together)

I would personally would love to see Knockout continue on past Prime & I found some of the things here interesting with the comparisons with Dreadwing and Cyclonus in that we might finally have a way to get Galvatron and Cyclonus in a season or another with something ala G1esk mannor happening sometime.

Would love to hear your guys thoughts and ideas.

To people asking why Airachnid gets hate:

She's a walking cliche. She's just 'I'm do bad! I'm so sadistic! I'm so evil!' personality in an ugly design. Her character is your generic serial killer, and her actions are getting her ass kicked. Then she gets overpowered to KILL BREAKDOWN , someone who is about three feet taller and stronger. Cliche, Mary Sue, pile of shit. That's what I say.

    My opinion.

There's a thread on this. Give me a sec.

    Got it:
    http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/trans...ents-transformers-prime-into-next-series.html

Agreed. There's no depth or rationale to her, none of her story makes sense put together, she all of a sudden can beat Breakdown when they seemed fairly even, then she forgets how to fight when Arcee goes after her just because they were like "well, Megatron needs insecticons. Time to put her away in the toy box for now." Her design is really awkward (Maleficent head on a really polygonal body), her voice is always in one tone, her dialogue is not remotely interesting. Pretty horrid character.

I like Knock Out. He's cool, he's got style, he's actually got character (which seems rare in this series). So I enjoy his introduction to the franchise. Also wouldn't mind seeing him in some future CHGUTHULURARAR products.

I also really like this rendition of Soundwave. He doesn't have anything in common with any other Soundwave, except for the name, so I say he fits in the 'new character'. This Soundwave should be a model for some future ones, or for completely new characters in the future that follows his characteristics.
