I think Prime is a decent show, I enjoy some episodes, and others just bore me to no end.

I feel like they should have spared characters like Cliffjumer, Hardshell, and Breakdown, and given them some solid development before offing them. Miko needs to cool the hell down. The chasing macguffin every episode thing gets boring.

However, the show has amazing animation and gave us some pretty likeable characters. Honestly, I think it would be better of Bob Orci and Alex Kurtzman had stayed to write the episodes.

It is my favorite Transformers show when taking everything into consideration (not just story, but animation, voice acting, spoken lines, etc). Also, I`m well aware of the "issues" with the story, but I think there is something to consider when judging the series. Mostly people just write the plot and how it was handled and that`s it, there is no thought to how it worked in execution.

What I mean to say is that while on paper certain things do seem like "Omg, worst show ever" (or whatever) on execution it works differently. So yes, while on paper most decisions concerning story development sound horrible, the show managed to make them entertaining enough so that you don`t care for those flaws at the moment, in fact, for some you actually have to be actively looking for them to consciously notice.

I guess my bottom line is, that the show isn`t really as bad as some make it sound...specially considering how mostly everything can seem bad when written with the intent of making it look bad. So in hindsight, some of the poster`s "reviews" or "opinions" on the show don`t really work.

PS: I guess I should say that I, personally, don`t watch a season until it`s over...as I`ve always thought that judging a season solely on watching it as it airs can be damaging when formulating an opinion. So I saw each individual season on one sitting...which I admit could be what makes the series not seem as bad as some here say.

Wow, 47 pages. Almost a month has gone by, and still this thread title never fails to amuse.

"Is Prime the best written TF show ever? One of the best animated shows ever?"

I could read that title all day. Any time I need a laugh to brighten my week. I can read that title twice in a row, back-to-back, and it makes me laugh both times. It's incredible. Almost miraculous in its power.

That's not a fair comparison, Adventure Time is supposed to be goofy, while Prime tries to be dark and epic. Also one is comedy one is "Drama" so, yeah.

Adventure Time has a fantastic story. Get out.

Adventure Time is light hearted and fun (and is actually funny and creative), but under the cover there are secrets behind each character and the state of the world. Meanwhile Prime is boring and pretentious and all over the place. There's no subtlety, no fun, no humor, no build-up and it's not okay because of how seriously it takes itself. Man, Adventure Time is the dark and epic show.

Adventure Time is shit and if you're impressed by cheapstake pretentious moves like OMG SIMON HAD MAGIC ALZHEIMERS ALL ALONG AND KNOWS MARCELINE WHO IS TOTALLY DEEP BECAUSE HER DAD IS A JERK then you can get this shoddy crap sheep driving show of yours and

Enjoy it freely and fine because it is your right to like and enjoy whatever you want without the opinion of some random guy on the internet shitting on you for liking or not liking something. I like Regular Show better personally, it's funnier.

I'm also still mad that they killed Billy.

How about dark and epic to dark and epic then since I think Transformers Prime is better than Young Justice.

I loved Superman the Animated Adventures, Batman the Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, and even Batman the Brave and the Bold, but something about Young Justice that doesn't work as well for me. Transformers Prime at least hits on many of the things I've enjoyed about Transformers across the different series in ways that Young Justice can hit.

If you feel the need to compare Prime to Adventure time, then I think that really just speaks for how flawed his arguement is.

Because the shows are totally on the same level, you see.
Not really AT is way better.

Young Justice is about five billion times better than Transformers Prime. The level of writing is so much higher.

    SO much higher.

The plots all build on one another in a way that actually fits together and makes sense. There have been no throw-away episodes, and the characters actually receive REAL development. Visible development. Which they don't then ignore or regress from in the following episode.

If nothing else Star Blazers might have the greatest cartoon opening song of all time. Although I really like how Space Battleship Yamato 2199 has updated the animation and changed up some of the story elements for a better fit in what we expect out of cartoons these days.

Haven't heard of Space Battleship Yamato 2199, but I'm going to be looking it up now...

However, I will fully expect to still see the heavy damage inflicted on the cruiser be miraculouly repaired by the beginning of each new episode :D  (I never caught on to that when I was six, but when I saw it again much later, it kind of made me wonder :lol  Repair crews FTW!)

Somebody is either a big old troll or does not understand the definition of the word 'writing' and 'good' and especially what the two mean when put together. I love Prime, but most PBS cartoons have better writing.
