I'm sorry for your loss my friend...It is never easy to lose a pet. Take care, and I wish you well through this rough time.
My condolences, Kickback. I've got a 15-year-old dog with a bad heart who we almost lost last year. He can be extremely aggravating at times, but I know that I need to enjoy every day that's left.
I'm really sorry to hear about your loss, Kickback. I hope you and your parents find peace in all of this.
I'm sorry for your loss man. I know how a pet is more like part of the family than than just an animal. Loosing one that you have taken care of for so long is very hard.
Sorry to hear Atleast it will be waiting for you in the afterlife. Have someone put the best catfood available in your casket when you die. Had a cat from age 1 to age 20 , and it hit me hard too (and cried) when It passed. Felt like I lost a little bro. Snuggles can never be replaced! RIP little buddy
My condolences KB. 16 years ago we lost the family dog. To this day my parents still have his food dish and the small garbage can we used to store his food in. Every time I see it I think of him. Remember the good times you had esp the funny stories, its what helps me remember my late friend/dog.
I'm really sorry. I feel for you man. I'll paste what I said in the other forum: It doesn't sound stupid at all, and again, please don't blame yourself. I'm really sorry that happened man. The cat I just lost had been with me a long time too and I loved him dearly. He was even born on one of my birthdays. When I found out he died almost right after I moved I felt so horrible, especially that I was gone and couldn't be there to comfort him as he got sick, to at least help my mom take care of him if nothing else. Anyway, I don't mean to take away from the pain you have, I just wanted to let you know I do know how it feels. The best you can do is be glad she isn't in pain anymore. If at all possible, try not to blame yourself. 18 years is more than a lot of cats get, unfortunately. I really wish they could live so much longer. I'm really sorry, again.
For a cat to live 18 yrs...that's a long and fruitful life. I know how you feel because I've kept cats before (4 to be exact) and like you, they were my best friends. And when they "moved on", I was extremely sad too. Sorry for you loss.
Ah man, Iam so sorry dude, Maybe if you loved her much she will stay in yor heart for the rest of your life. I also lost a good pet to me, his name was buster, a Bird dog, what an amazing dog. He was loveable, and I decided to get a tattoo of buster on my left shoulder. And know that I have the tattoo, I actually feel like he is always their. I wont forget him, but here is some helpfull advice, i dont know your take on tattoo's, but it feels great once you have one to remember a pet or a relative that passed away. And BTW, very sorry to hear about snuggles guy. Hope you will feel better.
It was kind of surreal because the night of the day she died I was going to bed and I stopped dead in my tracks -- when she'd eat and then lick her lips/face, it would smell this ... very specific odor. I smelled it as I was walking up to bed, even though she had been out of the house for over 24 hours. The only time I've ever played with a Ouija board, two girls were asking questions about me and they asked who my guardian angel was and what he/she would want to say to me -- it said "MEOW" ... which means my cat, Buttons, who died when I was 12, was there. It freaked me out to tears because these girls had no idea I even had a cat from back then.
Wow, that's crazy, I had a cat named Snuggles that lived to be 19, and she died a little over 2 years ago, and I definately still think about her a lot and sometimes forget she's not around when I'm back at home. We had to put her to sleep for health reasons. She had bad, arthritus, was losing weight and seemed like she was losing her memory. So Man, I know what it's like, good to know there were other Snuggles' out there. Sorry to hear about it though man, good luck
