    Mild Spoilers

In the script some of the Autobots have arms that 'transform' into guns as such.

EDIT: Damn you DC, beating me to it!

Bah, I really hated the nanite magic guns in the script.

It's precisely the sort of crap that the movie was supposed to be jetisoning because it's stupid.

In the original first three G1 TFs episodes the TFs hands changed into weapons. Probably this has the soul of G1 TFs somewhat.

Hmmm I don't really mind the concept of the arms changing into weapons too much.

Sounds good to me, rather than having them warping in weapons out of nowhere.

Looks too hardcore for a character like Bumblebee, but whatever.

So a highly evolved and advanced alien mechanoid race can't have nanotechnology?

I wonder where his alien claw hands go when he does this?

They prolly shatter into "thousands of pieces".

I have to admit I'm not enthusiastic about this concept but it still doesn't look to bad.

It seems to conflict a little with the whole “no mass shifting” “under the hood” yappin’ we have been getting. Where do all the parts come from to make a massive bigger than the hand that was there multi-barreled gun come from? Or is the trick with the movie TF’s that they can completely rearrange themselves as they see fit more like shape shifting then a mechanical process.

    >___>

Engineering wise, you'd say that's too big to fit in the arm along with the mechanics required for the hand. But hey, reality is random in Hollywood.

You know what? I thought they were supposed to have somewhat "human like" guns. Not that I dont addore the idea of shapeshifting a cannon to blow up something, but for some reason, the gun seems a bit weird on BB.:throw

Well, dispite the name and look, this Bumblebee reminds me much more of a Hot Rod/Shot type character. A young bot, but a badass fighter that one day could be a leader. "Arise Bumblemus Prime!"

As far as the gun goes, I think its bad ass, but I'm still trying to figure out where its additional size comes from. It would be nice to see a full body shot to see if like some of his car panels or some of his wires or something have been used to help comprise the mass of the gun (Yes, I know this means they "morph", but its okay cause BM rocked). But, remember, this is just some concept art, his gun-arm might be toned down into something his hand really could turn into, more similar to Samus Aran's basic weaponry.
