Hah, my influence spreads! It is very good, i'm looking forward to the rest, although i'm still not convinced there will be a combined mode or if there is one, how it will work?

no hes complete, just part exchanged something so.he only cost a tenner in the end, just opened Terrorcon CJ, transformed him and the part of bonnet with the horns on just fell off, doesnt affect the figure in either mode but beware of that if you buy him, time to open the foc figures now

So, my classics collection is still missing a Ratchet and with the current prices of both classics and henkei Ratchet that mold is out of the question.
Does anyone have good alternative that isnt the mold I mentioned or the igear mold?
I have the botcon Ironhide and the botcon Ratchet is fairly nice but price is questionable. I was thinking maybe the dotm mold with an appropiate new head. I like the Prime mold but not as a classics stand in. Does anyone have the 3rd party ratchet head and would it fit on dotm ratchet or would a kreo ratchet head work?
    Any help is appreciated.

MP10 is in stock on the US TRU site and ships internationally if that's any help?

I know it's not what you asked, but the iGear one is well worth getting. I know it's expensive but it seriously is amazing. Actually, that and Ironhide are making me think about getting rid of my classics figures because the Classics look a little lacking next to them. Hmmm...maybe you shouldn't buy it after all lol

When you take his price and add shipping he's actually $10 more than buying from iGear directly, so if you're tempted by the Skywarp just get it straight from iGear themselves. The iGear Starscream in jet mode is perfect for cartoon-accuracy.

I know it's not what you asked for, but it may help. A quick blu-tak custom shows that kreo ratchets head is possibly a little too big for deluxe purposes (and you certainly wouldn't be able to get him to transform with this noggin), but I don't think it looks too bad if you just wanted a display figure.

The kreo ratchet head is a really nice head. I'm aware the kreo heads are rubber too but it's a very g1 accurate head and since I have kreo ratchet somewhere in the house I'll give it a try.
    Thanks for the help.

    @ Irish carnage, No problem!

Also, I don't know if anyone here has got their '2nd edition' first edition Optimus Prime, but I've finally unboxed mine, I'm a little disappointed to find that the lack of painted doors is an actual thing and not just a one off, but the pleasant surprise it that the smokestacks and blade are cast from a much harder plastic.

I got the second edition first edition Optimus, thats too many editions for one Optimus. Mine has less paint apps on the cab window section too, it reaches down the hinge joint on the dorrs and back to the hinge joints on the rear panels.
As this is the first time I've owned this mold I have to say with all honesty I'm a little disappointed with the toy. I dont understand all the love it gets, the PRID version is just as good, it's only failing is not dealing with the back pack more effectively. Bulkhead is a far superior toy and Starscream is by far the best First edition with Bulkhead coming second.
Is his blaster supposed to be sparkly by the way becasue mine is?

edit@ Erector. If I had the money I probably would buy your Ratchet but I'm stone broke, just shelled out for a Grind Rod and Prime Silas. My toy budget is gone until the new year. I guarantee one of my grails will show up for sale now that I'm broke.

I seem to remember i was moderately underwhelmed by him when I first got one last year, but after a bit of posing and getting the transformation down (make sure the chest pieces are tabbed in) I really fell in love with him, but it wasn't until I sold him I realised how much I liked him. Compared to many voyagers (especially the recent ones) he's got a great heft and solidity to him.

Also, if you have a small screwdriver, take his head off and pop it properly into the ball joint, as it's not inserted correctly out of the box. Suddenly you'll realise he has a neck and a great range of motion.

I'm actually really gutted as I've just found a pretty unforgivable moulding fault on mine. God knows how they missed it in the factory. Hopefully the good chaps at kapow can help me out! (I've already sent a polite email. I'm not going to be a douchebag about something that isn't their fault).

Aww, that sucks. That is just really unlucky, these second run figures do seem to have a lot of QC issues. I beleive Bulkhead has issues with stress marks and cliffjumper has issue with the front of the bonnet falling off straight out of the box.
I did notice that the head is loose but I already have the Dr wu sage head on him and the head sceurely in place. I dont much care for the faceplate head on him.

Have you tried not using Paypal? If you use a regular CC it should work, cause on the product page it does say it ships internationally. I only know this cause I almost ordered one last night til I realised I didn't actually want it...

No worries. Their stuff is so much cheaper directly from them compared to Ebay prices. The miniwarriors Brawn and Cosmos were £23 each shipped as opposed to the £30 pus shipping everyone else was asking on Ebay etc.

Yeah, my new bulkhead has some stressmarks on the pegs connecting the upper arms, no doubt because the connection is waaay to tight.

It's a real shame that QC issues are quite so standard these days. You almost feel lucky when you get a perfect specimen.

    Harold disapproves.
