Got my Amazon G2 Bruticus through the post today, opening it tonight.

In contrast, I've had the SCC Bruticus since August, still not opened it.

 

So, Deluxe Evac is a bit of an odd one! Theres a hefty backpack in bot mode and the ankles only pivot inwards, but he's produced to a great quality and there's tonnes of detail. I love the alt mode. In fact, while I like the bot mode, this is one TF I'll be displaying in it's alt mode purely because it's so unusual. Great little souvenir, just don't spend silly amounts tracking one down. Keep an eye out, as I may put my 2nd one up on ebay sometime in the near future.

 

If you do sell the 2nd EVAC can you post the link and not just put a sig with an auction link in as I can't always see them and I may quite like to bid on it.

 

My G2 Bruticus arrived today as well woo! It looks awesome in the box!  

 

when/ if you open him, you may feel a little disappointment, walk away and do something else then come back to him. I did that and now think he's pretty all right.

Think mp sounders is little bit taller (head hight) then mp 11 starscream and sounders is pretty much on par with mp10,
So faith leader will be smaller then Soundwave,
But then so was the g1 toy,

Had a good haul today,
Received tfc Hercules and igear skywarp,
First thing i did was slap mp11 thundercrackers head on skywarp and it looks good,
Not had time to play around with Hercules yet, but got scrapper out and he scales perfect with mp's
Hooray as id most prob be displaying the constructions in their individual bot modes,

G2 Brut arrived today for me as well. I'm refusing to even look at it until christmas, so after reading comments in the FoC thread about peoples arriving smashed-in-box had my 5 year old daughter give it a QC check.

Her verdict? "Daddy, it's really pretty and nothing broken. Can I have it?". Christmas morning is going to be interesting

Couldn't agree more. He's easily the most satisfying TF I've encountered in ages. I've found nothing that frustrates me in any way about him, which is actually a first for the Masterpiece line...

I'd love a (cheap) western release, mostly to paint up in his G2 colours...

I was pretty impressed with the figure over all. I don't have a 3RD party Herc or Giant to compare too so it didn't effect how I thought on the figure.

It's really nice and painted pretty well, I am being very wary of the tabs on the figures because they look dead fragile and after my FOC Jazz door tab snapping off I am on the look out for that.

But yes even the weaker figures onslaught and vortex IMO don't spoil the over all feel for the set and that box is just freeking awesome! For 55ish quid I recommend it to anyone here in the UK!

 

Well the Royal Mail managed to not ring my doorbell on Saturday, put through a red card and then lose the parcel between my house and the depot which is a 20 minute walk away. Not thrilled at all to have £200+ of minibots vanish.

Megatron was officially cancelled as it was too intricate and delicate to only make it in plastic as you thought. They said it just wasn't viable.

Presser is on the back burner while they do the minis. They've annouced head upgrades for the other Wreckers too, so expect them to all come at once and don't be surprised if the other Wreckers turn out to be full toys in the end.

Each to their own, but for me, iGear's stuff has been far more exciting than anything else coming along. Faith Leader, Ironhide, Ratchet, the minis, Thundercracker and the coneheads were all brilliant. Fansproject's stuff is great but MP scale is where I'm at currently and iGear is definitely the company for that. Plus the small stories on the iGear boxes are hilarious

Courtn33, you have to convert the files from Youtubes' .flv or .webm format to .vob or mpeg to get them to play on a dvd player. The only .webm convertor I've found is shit and doesn't keep the audio and video in synch.

 

Having taken my G2 Amazon Bruticus out and played with it a bit, I gotta say my initial fears and concerns were right: Onslaught is a massive piece of shit. The head in vehicle, the hands covering it, the tacked on gun to cover it, the visible combination pegs on the wheel, the gappy rear half of the figure. The other figures don't seem so bad, but man, did this guy need to be a Voyager. Hasbro gives the retailers too much power I think, he was only made a deluxe so as not to confuse retailers.
