    Are you kidding?

Have you not played Saints Row The Third? Activision kept pushing DLC for that MONTHS after its release. I think it finally stopped getting DLC about February or March... It was shitty DLC that was already on the disc, but it was the same ridiculously overpriced DLC that we get with FOC; skins/outfits/models.

Except SRTT gave us a few more campaign missions as DLC too, and we had co-op from the very beginning.

This is nothing more than HMS saying "Hey, we've already unlocked everything on our disc for you, so our job of giving you DLC is done. Stop asking for stuff because we wont make it."

They should make more content for 2013 and end with a special edition of the game in later in 2013 with all the new maps on it and then a new game in 2014.

if they don't do new maps eventually interest will tail off - the Movie Transformers games nose dived pretty quick and a lot of that was due some might say to a lack of after market support.

Oh and if they are worried about matchmaking then their lobby is obviously poorly designed as it's pretty obvious that if everyone in a match make has the maps then they are open and if someone does not then no one does - and you'd also need the option to only connect with people with the new maps if that was what you required.

But then i've been complaining about the terrible design of online matchmaking in videogames for many years.

Maybe if they'd make the single player mode fleshed out enough to compensate for it, people wouldn't b**** so loud. Especially those of us who prefer the single player/co-op in the first place!

For some reason, game makers act like this type of gamer is a lost breed or something. Very sad.

On-disc DLC is and always will be BS. The ONLY good thing is that it doesn't split players.

New maps are very standard for games with strong MP like FoC. I don't get what people are saying about the mp being dead a week after the game came out. I stopped playing it a couple weeks ago and I NEVER had trouble entering a map. The problem that they have is obviously not supporting the game, as well as the VERY LOW max level. Many other games with strong MP allow you to level up sometimes all the way to level 70 or so, and HMS seems to be stuck at level fucking 25 (20 for the DotM game)! And prime mode is extremely unsatisfying, with absolutely no benefits except that stupid mark next to your name.

Saints Row also outsold FOC by several orders of magnitude and is one of Activision's tentpole franchises.

It sucks that FoC got rubbish DLC support, but that really shouldn't come as a surprise given that it's a niche game which sold fairly average numbers, especially with giants CoD and Halo 4 now out.

This is disappointing because you def want to have more characters and more maps esp after this was one of the hottest new games.

Well, how else do you expect them to justify DLC map packs, character skins, and the occasional exclusive DLC multiplayer weapon/map/ character from GameStop?

I don't care one bit about multiplayer modes. I would be thrilled with a fun game that isn't just another mindless shooter. Transformers could be soooooo much more in the hands of a decent studio. The melee, limited firepower, and stupid weapons that don't mesh with the characters are my biggest pet peeves with the High Moon games. Prime's ion blaster and Megatron's fusion cannon are iconic to the characters, why would they switch to a tiny little nullray or machine gun? Megatron's cannon taps into the negative energy of a black hole... it should have a lot more than 4 shots.

It took Batman almost 30 years to get a great series of games, so maybe I'll have to wait 30 years for Transformers...

Well, this sucks. AS much as I LOVED the campign I was hoping for more. and MP just got a little tiring to for me. New characters was just not enough really.

Hopefully they are starting to get busy on the next game then.

I am content with what High Moon gave us. They created a game that is amazingly fun and challenging at the same time. I think that 30 bucks worth of DLC is enough, rather than 50 or 70.

Or vice versa. I'm a MP-only person and didn't touch FoC campaign. If there had been co-op (like the great implementation in WfC), that would be another story.

Its pathetic that a game like mass effect 3 has kept me interested in the mp to this day but foc could barely do it. answer to hms problem is make your maps free. then the fandom isnt split

What can I say? I grew up in a time where DLC didn't even exist, you bought your game and you played it, and you didn't care about DLC. So, with that mindset still in place all these years later, I still don't care if I get any or not.

I'm already fairly happy with the game as it is and don't even feel the need to complain about getting bonus stuff. The way I see it that's just being needy.

I'm perfectly happy waiting for the next one.
