Octopunch's shot awoke Primus thus awakening Unicron. I blame it all on Octopunch myself, but it is fun blaming the entire multiverse's destruction on some nobody pretender. We also know that those demons are aborted creations before the Transformers existed. Essentially, they were created as experiments. Primus does have a shady past for sure.
