From what I've seen, seems like some Targets are that much, some still 15.99. KMart, 18.99. Remembers Aldi for those TFP Deluxes right now, $10.

Been out for a while. I didn't know I was gone that long...I am kind of glad I didn't touch on this series. I think the thing holding me back is not watching the series.

unless they do some kind of holiday/black friday sales, I probably won't end up with kup/rumble. just no way I'm paying those prices for those figures. not worth it to me.

game last night was abysmal. I'd like to think we would have had a chance to win it had cutler played the 2nd half, but the way he played the first, I dunno. horrible officiating on both sides of the ball, so many push offs, pass interference calls that the refs just turned blind eyes to.

my favorite had to be the bears pick that was ruled "BLOWN DEAD" when no ref blew a fucking whistle until they were down to the 5 yard line. fucking disaster.

wanted to see the bears vs the texans. not bears and texans vs the refs. really disappointing no matter who you were a fan of last night.

Can't help but 100% agree. The play was never blown dead, nor would I have considered that down by contact. That was nothing more than a bailout call. The replacement refs would have given that a better chance. Also part of Cutler was behind the line when he threw that ball and took that hit. That red line is official in my book. LOL. Lastly just cause you have to go second string QB does not mean every play has to be a run up the middle. Houston was killing on run defense. The one good thing I saw last night was the O line held off the D and protected Campbell a lot better than they were previously doing Cutler. It still sucked, but an improved suck.

Hopefully, usually the later waves are the ones that show up. It's only a matter of time.

The OLine did great in my book last night... ZERO sacks! And with JJ Watt there, thats a HUGE accomplishment. Am I disappointed in the outcome, sure. But there was a lot of good things going on, too.

    2 fumbles, though, AWFUL.

I didn't watch the game, but if there were no sacks, how did Cutler get his bell rung so badly? Hit as he released the ball? Any penalties for late hits on him?

And how the F are there still tie games possible in the NFL? Yeah, they played a bunch of overtime or whatever, but hell, flip a damn coin or get the QBs in a belching contest or some damn thing. Tie games are ridiculous- hi, we just played for 3 hours and it doesn't freakin' count! :banghead:

TF related- any TFP Ultra Magnus sightings in the W or NW burbs lately?

It was on a play where he was whistled for crossing the line of scrimmage prior to passing for a 1st down. He got drilled by Tim Dobbins, who was flagged, but the flags offset. Brutal helmet to helmet hit.

    The refs did suck:
    • Tim Jennings interception blown dead with ghost whistle
    • Cutler conversion ruled over the line of scrimmage when replay clearly showed he wasn't
    • Arian Foster TD catch hit the ground
    • Houston CBs were holding/hooking Bears WRs arms down throughout the game without any flags
That said, there is no excuse for such pitiful play on offense. Kellen Davis should be cut. He blows.

Eh... I've done some football officiating. Only the Jennings play was beef worthy -- and that was more a protocol mess than anything. In real time, it sure looked like the Houston receiver clipped Jennings, at which point the closest official looked like he blew the whistle. So what happened the rest of that 'play' was a cluster. On the replay, the Houston receiver may have brushed Jennings slightly - even the freeze frame was inconclusive. So, while it may well have been the wrong call (and a huge one) I can see how it got called.

On the Cutler play, Collinsworth mentioned that the ref does NOT have the red line for replay purposes, just as they don't have the yellow first down line. It is tv tech for the broadcast which is not part of NFL rules administration. And in the judgment of the ref, Cutler's back foot was off the ground when he threw, thereby over the line.

Foster's catch was absolutely clean. It wasn't even deemed worthy of an 'official' replay, even though all scoring plays are reviewed.

On DB play, you're observation is correct. It is, however, very incomplete. Marshall pushes off on just about every play and while Tillman and Jennings are excellent players, they're not exactly playing flag football with the receivers, either. Given the conditions, the officials allowed more contact... but it wasn't administered inequitably.

Both teams have GREAT defenses. Throw in the inhibitive playing conditions and you ended up with a lot of conservative offense.

The Bears lost because 1) they turned the ball over four times, 2) Houston is really good, and 3) Tice didn't trust Campbell to throw (which kind of makes the signing pointless --- any scrub can hand off and miss open receivers for a cheaper price). If those teams played 10 times, they'd each win 5. And they might play again ---- in New Orleans.

like I said I think there were a lot of missed flags on both sides of the ball. it infuriates me to watch a game where even the smallest penalties are being called and then one like last night where it takes head to head contact to get a flag. there is so much discrepancy in the penalty calling from game to game. even the players are so unsure they have to test the water every first few plays and see how aggressive they can be.

the "mystery whistle" was a complete clusterfuck though. I'm pretty happy it was a nationally televised game with that call at center stage. someone's getting spanked by ed hochuli today.
