Man, FE Vehicon is definitely a big step down from the RID version in my book. Though, the RID version may be my favorite deluxe of the year, so that's not saying a ton.
X2 I ended up moving my FE out of the lineup with the RID versions...he's a cool 'bot and everything, but too chunky to be considered more accurate then the mainline release.
Found GDO Hotspot @ TRU Maplewood Mall. Also picked up a Voyager Dreadwing they are "on sale" for $19.99 that place was packed for some reason.

Hey, I know I wasn't expecting to find him there. I really just went there to kill time until the barber shop opened at the mall. I have never been to the mall before noon on a Sunday, ever. My son noticed that ugly GDO Megs and he asked me if I had this guy, which happened to be Hotspot.
I was unaware Hot Spot is such a hot ticket. I pulled a hidden one down from hiding in Bloomington tru on Saturday. I put him back on the shelf I feel like a douche now.
Found my first Airachnid at the Hopkins Walgreens off of 7, my friend convinced me not to get it *Update* Just got shipping confirmation for my MP Optimus from TRU.com
I'm just going to save my money and wait for the inevitable Third Party Defensor. It's not worth the headache I'm putting up with in regards to the less than friendly staff at NT TRU and me not being able to be that at the ass crack of dawn everyday to check the shelve.
That's the one Rodimus Pie stashed for Adam I think, he posted about it on the private boards. I'm still looking for one but I've kind of given up at this point. Especially after having it disappear from my cart on TRU.com two different times. What's funny is from the very beginning it's the only GDO figure I had any interest in and so far it's the only one I've never seen. Not sure why he's more 'hot' with everyone than the others. Goes with the name I guess.
I think it's because he's the only legitimate looking Classics figure of the bunch. All the other G1 GDO characters are pretty forced. I'd be all over him, but I don't think I really need anymore repaints of combiner characters that don't combine.
That's what hot glue is for! For me the draw is simply that lovely blue and the amazing head sculpt. Downtown Target had traces of the newish Prime Deluxe wave. A Kup (which is now standing on my desk) and a couple of Vehicons.
I really like the blue juxtaposed with the green they used on G2 Megs. Those two look really nice together to me for some reason.
