Yeah, the main human character, with deep heroic traits, ready to make the ultimate sacrifice for the guys who saved his planet. Totally unexpected.

 

The kids in this episode made me feel pretty okay about being human when most stories I enjoy make me feel like my species is scum. It was nice. I don't have a problem with humans being portrayed as bad folk - we make some pretty awful choices - but it's great to see some qualities that offset what negatives we can bring.

Movieverse Optimus' line from TF1 comes to mind. Probably isn't a perfect quote of it. "Were we once so different? They are a young species and they have much to learn. But I have witnessed their capacity for courage..."

 

You could call it a panic reaction, like how you laugh when you're tickled, or sometimes in great pain. She didn't like being so close to the Decepticons, and so she instinctively tried to get away. I can't imagine she expected to break out though.

well in season 1 they were going to kill off raf so it's safe to say the writer's do have it in them to kill off humans children. i'm guessing the censors thought otherwise though

I see her in the same way as I see Jar Jar Binks. Incredibly annoying and totally unnecessary.
