Fantastic - thanks for the info and pics - question - the Obitsu Figure Stands - is it difficult to balance a voyager so that it is "stable?"

Thanks for all the kid comments :)

Honestly I use the colour option all the time and for me it was well worth the extra £10. You can set it to stay on one colour or to cycle through a variety.

The colours don't work well in photos so I set it to display fixed white when taking images. The colours cycles can either be stepped or can fade from one colour to the next. I find the colour fade relaxing as it doesn't cycle too fast, although it does get through the whole cycle in about 120 seconds, so I may end up building my own controller with a far slower cycle.

Any tips for saving space in a detolf when displaying MP Seekers? I'm trying to find a way to use the included stand to set them on-end in jet mode, but there doesn't appear to be an easy way to do that.

I haven't tried this yet (still have to put a bunch of Detolfs together myself and install some weatherstripping and lighting), but it sounded pretty cool (Post 76 around Page 8 of this thread).

The pictures Dracomancer posted two posts down aren't loading inline on the page for me now, but work if you copy the link. The figures look pretty cool suspended.

I stumbled across that shortly after I posted. If I can't come up with something better then I might give this a shot. Thanks!

That's what I'm doing right now. If you have an electric serrated knife, that works great for getting straight edges instead of the broken look.

Thanks :D  I've got a load more saved away as I'm hoping to make a diorama. Can't have Snowtroopers without snow ;)

I don't, my toolkit consists of a screwdriver and a knife that someone gave to me :lol  Will get one of those for sure though.

I tried it with just a regular steak knife, it worked decently enough, but the edges were kind of rough and not very straight. Luckily I was able to get an electric knife from a family member. It looks like it's 20-30 years old but it works great.

Glad to hear my twine-suspension idea is catching on. Good luck.

Earlier today I was poking around a local discount store looking for stuff I might be able to re-purpose and stumbled across a few leftover pieces from a mini fondue set. I should have taken a picture of it before I went to work on it, but it looked pretty much like this:

The only difference with mine was that the top metal ring had four small equidistant metal loops attached for suspending fondue forks. I was only interested in the metal stand, which I bought for $2.50. I went to work with a dremel, cutting off the front 1/4 of the top ring along with the two remaining fork hoops off the back end. I sanded those sections smooth and then capped the two front ends of the top ring with little rubber tips which I had leftover from a closet organizer set. Here's what it looked like afterwards:

And here's what I envisioned when I first spotted it in the store; a sturdy and spiffy-looking stand for my Takara Primus:

I like it because its super-sturdy and the busy end remains largely out of sight in the back; leaving Cybertron to appear to float above a surface. It's also at a comfortable height for a standing Unicron figure to comfortably swat at it with his mighty fists. So if you're looking for a stand for your Primus, I suggest you start hunting in garage sales, flea markets or discount stores for a mini fondue set. My ¢2. :)

I have yet to transform my Unicron to see whether he could rest on it as well in planet mode.

    That's pretty awesome!

Recently, we've been talking about risers. Well, I've been storing figures in those clear shoeboxes. I don't intend to make them a permanent part of my display, but turning them over on their bottom does make for a decent makeshift riser.

    true true.

I have my TF's in my basement where it's a bit cooler/damp. Will that damage them? Will the stickers peel off?

great idea! You can do this with the mini-bots like warpath,BB, cosmos. Can this case fit the stunticons as well.
