I wonder if it is because of the holiday season. Did you see how many of those droid carriers they had there? That is ridiculous.
Wilsonville. Which puts me smack in the middle of Salem, Tigard and Clackamas locations. Almost a good 30 minute drive to either location with the rain now. Part of why I'm getting a bit pissy about it....when they were summer releases it was easier for me to drive around like a bat outta hell on my lunch break to either location and run right back. My tires are not all weather and do horrible in the rain for the most part. They'll do decent at the speed limit, but taking it any faster runs a greater risk and no toy is worth that. The other part of being pissy is just the attitude of some of these TRU employees. When you're buying something from them they're happy and talkative. But when you can't find something and want help they act like complete dicks.
Droid carrier I understand. Clone Wars is a big thing for kids, but let's be brutally honest here...Thundercracker is, and will always be an Adult Collectible. There's no sense in marketing something like that for kids, who will have zero idea of who the character is, especially in that rendition. That toy is soley for us adults who are aware of the character and significance. If they have so many, and if they aren't moving, I doubt the holidays will do much to the stock. My bet is that everyone in Portland, OR already has one, and that's why they're sitting there. Yeah, that sucks. That's why I don't try to ask for help at TRU often. Totally understandable. I've been there with the frustration of not getting anything. Driving all over the place only to find that you've come up second place again.
Lets go avenger style, raid a warehouse or store and take back what is rightfully ours. Cause if we can't save our nerdism you can damn well bet we'll avenge it.
There's literally shelves bursting with MP Prime and deluxe GDO over here in Des Moines as of last night. Does anyone want me to pick them up one? Keep in mind there would be tax and I would have to ship it but im pretty sure the sticker price here is still $99.
Thanks for the offer six, but I'll wait. I'm sure the Tigard TRU will get those five boxes soon and my wife as agreed to let me have the car on Fridays so I can run out and grab one in the middle of the day instead of at the end, in rush hour.
Tanasbourne Target has some of the newer Bot Shot singles in. I picked up Skywarp, the only Shockwave I saw, and actually liked the new Bumblebee w/ G1 face enough that I picked one up.
HTS has these, Magnus sold out though. The new Big Lots in North Bend has (or had at the time of this post) 3 Generations/RTS Legends Starscreams, 1 Generations/RTS Legends Prime, 2 Generations/Universe 2.0 Legends G2 Megatrons, and about 4 or 5 of the "Dollar Store Exclusive" Generations/Universe 2.0 Legends Bumblebees. $5.00 ea.
I just got back from the Tigard TRU, no GDO voyagers, 1 Swerve, all the scouts and legends, and some FE Starscream's and Arcee's. All I was looking for was Hotspot, Megatron and Cliffjumper. I thought about getting Starscream, but having and Skywarp and him would make Thundercracker even more tempting.
Anybody going to the Tigard TRU this morning? I'm gonna run out during lunch but if someone goes today and can confirm no MPOP, then it'll save me time/gas.
