Nope. While he is not such an honourable warrior like Armada Starscream, he's one of the best Starscream incarnations. And at least he manages to achieve more things than G1 Starscream.

Although I do prefer the blocky G1 designs (those disigns are the originals and that is what I grew up with is why I guess) My main problem with Starscream and Soundwaves disigns are that they did very little to homage there original G1 disigns. I mean Starscream is a jet and he has a bit of the venting on the side of his face that his G1 counterpart had. Soundwave basicly has the points on the top of his head and is a simaler color plus he doesn't talk dammit Soundwave should ALWAYS have that synthesized G1 voice.

But I've grown to like accept and sometimes even love these versions of beloved characters in spite of hating some aspects of them.

the thing that makes this soundwave so cool as the fact that he can talk but doesn't. He's just mysterious and doesn't do much but when he does it's a pretty big deal. if he talked in vocoder every episode it would be just any other soundwave but personally this soundwave is my fav and my avatar c: design wise I also like this soundwave better cause he looked all weak and scrawny when he 1st appeared but then we found out he's like one of the best fighters in the show and can his design makes him look a like a sleek ninja. although I like starscream design a lot his original bulky prime design was kool too...

After "Regeneration", I'm definitely getting sick of Starscream being as cowardly as he is in Prime. While a certain level of cowardice has always been present in Starscream's character, I think Prime has blown it vastly out of proportion in the pursuit of making him the comic relief butt-monkey of the Decepticons. It's gone from being a minor aspect of his character in other series, behind arrogance and treachery, to virtually his only defining trait in Prime. At the rate it's going, I wouldn't be surprised if Raf armed with a pointy stick is enough to send Starscream fleeing in terror in Season 3.

yes, the new episode didn't help his case much. Especially since he actually had his t-cog this time.

Not saying it's unreasonable that he's frightened, but his response was over-the-top and too much. Starscream had his T-cog back, he could have deployed his hand-mounted energy blasters and held Dreadwing back at gunpoint; still nervous, still trying to weasel his way out of it, but coming from a position with some strength. Instead, he flails around for junk on the floor and then, when that predictably fails, just completely panics.

I'd say that one of the defining traits of this incarnation of Starscream IS that he's over the top and too much - seriously, if Prime Starscream had a giant mustache to twirl, I wouldn't think it out of place.

That scene didn't really bother me - I mean sure, he could have whipped out the hand blasters, but think about how long it's been since he's been able to use them. He's adapted to existing without a T-Cog, so his first inclination is no longer to draw his blasters - that's my thought anyway. I rather wondered why he didn't just put a missile in Dreadwing's face...but when faced with an obviously stronger opponent, Prime Starscream's first instinct is to cower. He's a bully, no more, no less.

    All Hail Starscream

It's not stated directly anyway but the show does seem to imply it. As I've pointed out before Ultra Magnus does not send civilians into battle zones. Also we see a flash back when Ultra Magnus gives Optimus his rank of Prime stating that while he can not be in the Elite Guard because of what happened with Elita One Ultra Magnus was making an exception in allowing him a rank of Prime. Then there's also Ironhide who was in Elite Guard boot camp and nothing suggests that Ironhide never finished boot camp. So while it's not directly stated that Rodimus is in the Elite Guard the show does imply that he is.

As I keep trying to tell you why does that matter? Starscream has never showed any fear towards either mortal or not. The only thing he's shown fear to is death. He has been captured multiple times in Animated and he didn't appear to care. He had his head freaking cut off and he still didn't seem to care that much. But Megatron points his fusion cannon at him before he became immortal and he showed fear.

The two are things I personally fear and I don't fear death. Starscream is not me though and he doesn't seem to give a crap about anything other than his own mortality.

As I recall this argument started because you though Animated Starscream was less of a coward than Prime Starscream while I think they're about equal.

That was the last attempt when he was getting frustrated with being "killed" over and over again. Are you watching that montage in reverse? I can't remember how many times I watched that scene when I was editing it with "I'm fine Joanna" from Sweeney Todd except I had to take that video down even though it was edited as a parody and there for fair use YouTube still registers it as copy right violation.

It was Shockwave that knocked out Ultra Magnus and it happened in "Where is thy Sting". In Mission Accoplished Starscream was the one that got knocked out by Ultra Magnus not the other way around. Then he rebooted and shot Magnus but he was repaired by Ratchet. Starscream hardly did anything to him.

Starscream is cowardly only when he's put in an uncomfortable situation. Like Dreadwing cornering him.

However in Darkest Hour with Optimus charging the Lock Screams did bound forward and shoot at Optimus. Consider that some bravery on his part considering the rival.

Oh look, it's this topic again.

He was scared when Omega Supreme showed up. He couldn't die because of his immortality, so he was scared of something that wasn't death.

Yes. They're different. Doesn't necessarily mean better. I like both Starscreams.

He stormed into the chamber during his first try and his sneak attack was one of his last tries. That's what I'm saying.

Ultra Magnus was KO'd for the entire time they had to take down Starscream. He was out.

Prime Starscream is so far the worst version of the character I've ever seen. I like Armada Starscream and IDW Starscream. The other Starscreams aren't as interesting.

Do you mean that as an opinion of "I don't like this Starscream as much as the others" or do you mean that as a fact in "Compared to other Starscreams, this is the worst portrayed?"
Cuz I can surely tell you that you'd be wrong on the second one.

Is Starscream a coward? Yeah. Is he a pussy? Not really. This is the con that has constantly betrayed his leader (that beats him and wanted to kill him) and attempted to recieve redemption. This is the con that has manipulated both sides for his own desire while getting his ass handed to him. This is the con that smacks away fellow cons and has no problem bossing them around despite how much more capable in combat they are. This is the con that lied in Soundwave's face, announced himself as "lord" over and over again, and has a loudmouth that would just about kill anybody.

All things considered, this thread was created for sole purpose of trolling Starscream fans in general. Way to go OP.

I personally love the Prime version of Starscream. He is such a loveable, creepy, coward of a character. Though I call him 'ladyboy' Starscream as he looks and sounds like one.
