Masterpiece Shockwave. If they include a Light-up Gimmick and Detachable hand to go over the Laser Emitter Node (Watch the First episode of the G1 Cartoon, Suddenly realize Shockwave had two hands in that episode), I would SO buy it. Shockwave is among my top three Decepticons (The first two being Megatron and Starscream) and while the only one of him I have is a Half-Customized version of Astro Magnum, I would LOVE to have a Masterpiece Shockwave.

 

Now that we are actually getting a 2 pack of cassettes, I really don't think that would be too difficult for Takara to release. I get what you are saying on their size, maybe just up to Sideswipes chest would be right. No licensing, and they don't combine. Plus this is really the only other release of all 3 characters since G1 right?

 

I desperately want Masterpiece Insecticons.. that would be so amazing.

But if not them, Shockwave would be incredible too!

 

The MP's have yet to enter triple changer territory...would be pretty cool.

I like the thinking some of you folks have re: the Insecticons.

But my bet would be Shockwave.

 

Yeah, Shockwave is due for an MP release. Though the idea of a triple changer sounds cool and Astrotrain is tops for me. Man he would be huge, seeing that Devastater transformed in him.

 

I'd think a pivoting mechanism that had the laser node and the second hand mounted on opposite sides of a rotating joint (I.E. Energon Jetfire and HFTD Terradive/DOTM Space Case) would work just as well while removing the need to keep track of a spare hand piece.

 

There hasn't been a Shockwave I liked...since well, G1.

And they haven't done Megatron justice either in regards to toys.

I REALLY liked the Alternity (that samurai concept was cool) & the Animated Megatrons. But Alternity was too small and I didn't like the execution for Chopper Megs. At this point, I wouldn't be against a tank Megs in MP form either.

 

Would anyone want these though with new wings and heads and stuff?

Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave, Skywarp, Thundercracker... I'm only counting 5 of them. And two of them haven't even been remade in MP-10+ yet.

We still have Blitzwing, Astrotrain, and Reflector to go. And Shockwave if you wanna count him(which I do)

 

Ramjet and Dirge I'd be kinda meh about

But I'd love a MP Thrust based off the current seeker MP

 

Rumble, Frenzy, Ravage, Buzzsaw and Laserbeak all have Masterpiece toys too. And even if Megatron doesn't have a new toy in the current Masterpiece scale, he still has a Masterpiece toy.

Blitzwing, Astrotrain, Reflector and Shockwave are from 1985 going by original toy releases, despite the latter two appearing in the first episode of the cartoon.

 

I still think Devastator should be next.

Probably the only way we're gonna get a decent official G1 update of him.

 

Oh, right. The cassettes. I feel bad for forgetting them. =(

an Astrotrain would be nice, but most likely too difficult to pull off well. Reflector or an Insecticon to balance the Dinobot MP.
