Totally incredible!!! I kinda had the Giants written off when the Cards took the 3-1 series lead. Amazing!!! St Losers only scored 1 run in the 3 games they had the chance to clinch. A total of 2 runs in the 4 games they lost!!! Giants vs Tigers ...up here in Canada we have a discount store chain with a similar name.
Firing Ozzie speaks more to Marlins than it does to Guillen - CBSSports.com It goes to show how screw up the Marlins organization are. Owner Jeff Loria has been paying for it ever since he fired Joe Girardi five years ago.
Very similar to the Dallas Cowboys and Jerry Jones. The owner thinks he is the brains behind it all, instead of hiring the brains and letting them do their thing.
I am sure the city of Miami must feel really cheated by the Marlins after giving him millions to build that stadium. Should be a cautionary tale for other cities to not give in to greedy owners that easily.
I did not see this coming. I figured the series would be tied at this point. Game 1 was a game, but Game 2 had the Tigers' snake bit. That bunt, wow, how often can it be so perfect?
Uh-oh Detroit. You're in some major trouble now. I don't think a team could play any worse than what the Tigers have these first three games.Their pitching has obviously been pretty good the last two games, but that offense is just horrible, actually downright embarrassing.
I don't think it's a lack of Detroit offense as much as it's the SF playing near perfect both with pitching and in the field. As it stands now the Giants are playing like they can't lose and the Tigers are starting to look discouraged and shell shocked, they have nothing to hang their hat on going into today and if they don't jump off to something early I can definately see them all but giving up if the Giants take a lead and get the sweep firmly in their sights.
One of the boringest WS to come along in some time. Thought Tigers would put up more of a fight. Oh well.
Congrats to the Giants!!!! I'd MUCH rather they won on the road than take a few losses just to win in front of the home crowd.
