A paper napkin bearing the words "BLO UP LUNDUN NEXT" does not a script constitute.

Eleven pages, and not one person has pointed out that "Big Ben" is the name of the bell in the Westminster Palace clock tower?

I thought everyone already knew that. It's why I earlier suggested Big Ben would make a nice Cybertronian artifact, meaning the bell. Or did people think I meant the clock tower itself would be an artifact? London ain't Egypt. :p
    Michael Bay movie. :p

All I can say is... please NO VEHICLES IN THIS MOVIE THAT CAN'T BE MADE INTO TOYS!!!! It was absolutely heartbreaking to see a Ferrari in movie 3 that even transformed into a cool bot, but not be able to have a toy due to Ferrari being stingey about their license. F-that! I realize certain vehicles will fit into the story context in ways that may not be 'toy friendly', but that seems absolutely assinine when you consider that the movie is essentially toys running around on screen- or will eventually BE TOYS if nothing else.

So... there's my :2c:  Could care less about movie locations and such. I'm sure all of that will work itself out nicely. Just... well... see the above.

Correct. The Westminster Palace's West tower was renamed the "Victoria Tower" as a tribute to Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee; it therefore seemed rather fitting to rename the clock tower as the "Elizabeth Tower", to celebrate the Queen's own Diamond Jubilee this year.

Alas, there are far too many people that seem to believe the clock tower itself is named "Big Ben". Now certainly, for those outside of the UK, this seems rather forgivable (although I continue to be routinely astounded by the number of Americans that ask me, in all seriousness, as to whether or not the British also celebrate Independence Day and / or Thanksgiving); however, far too many inside of the UK also rather ashamedly share this mistaken belief.

I knew that it was the Bell not the tower that was called Big Ben, but did the tower actually have a name before they renamed it the Elizabeth tower? From what I gathered it was previously called the Clock Tower, which is a bit...boring really

When I was in London, I most commonly heard it referred to as the "Tower of Westminster". It is by no means the most imaginative of sobriquets, but it is certainly both accurate and distinctive.

I pray that his mother didn't sing him "London Bridge is falling down" when he was young.... else there's going to be more than just explosions.
