Wow! That's truly cold-blooded. Of all the people on this board, you were not deserving of such poor treatment.

Add another reason to the list of why I wanted to take the boards underground. I don't care what their reason for not posting, local lurkers are all worthless and selfish in my book.

I'd be all for a secret forum for this very reason. That sucks Ben.

They had to have known my name, the figures were in a cabinet behind the counter. I truly hope it wasn't a regular here. I doubt anyone will confess even if it was. The 2 hour drive, makes it that much worse. This has made me not want to post sightings anymore. My original post was to keep someone from making the journey and end up empty handed.

Yeah that's not cool they stole your hold. I'm not defending the actions of the individual but some employees are ultra lax when dealing with held merchandise. Some employees don't care about checking names or whatever. If they were visible at all someone could of just asked for them and possibly got them out of hold.

As to a secret forum, I would say nay, forums are old tech for the modern social media out there. If a secret group were to exist I would use something like facebook or twitter where people could interact act easier with the mobile technology. Heck even a yahoo email group would be better than a forum.

As to the Just for Fun show,
Nice to see people from here at the show. While I'm not here very often I still like to chat and talk TFs when I can. Overall the show seemed a little better than usual but not by much, the promoter just isn't willing to put effort into it. There's some talk among the action figure guys to try and get a stand alone winter show happening, but as usual it's just talk.

I think sometimes if you say you have something on hold, even of said item is in plain sight, the employee will just give it to you.

Thats super fucked up HH. The weird thing is, there was a "Ben" holding the MP10's there awhile back too. Not sure what ever came of that too.

You do realize we give that person the idea when they had two mp op10 figures, over at the Lynnwood tru and one guy put them both on reserve someone said we should go in and claim to be the person in question, and pick up the figures.

Lol, I had a Green Lantern hoodie on. Next time or meet up I guess.

I remember reading that post and thought it was a joke towards HH.

That is a douche move to whoever that did that. I doubt it's a regular and lean more toward the lurker. I don't go out hunting as much so I don't post as often. I Don't mind the secret forum, but since no one is really using it for sightings, it can be used or most anything. Membership is controlled but it will always take a backseat to this forum.

One reason why I don't use names here either. We speak freely here because a lot of us know each other, but this is not exclusively our boards. I know most of us know each other by face and name, but that doesn't stop the lurker from already associating our names with handles. Nothing that can be done about that now. May have to use aliases when holding items just like Jimmy did when he had items held.

If a lurker did use HH's name, then we already know that we have to improvise next time. If it's a carefree employee, then what can we do? We just have to try a little harder next time. I remember the days of hunting when driving around was fun, but with gas prices and the rising prices of toys it's more frustrating coming home empty handed.

That was me who suggested that when the MP OPs were held at the Lynnwood TRU. I didn't do it tho, I swear! I was in the south end all day and even met up with attobot206 at southcenter. It is fucked up that it happened to one of our board members, sorry Ben. I will say this tho, the last time I had something held at that TRU (MP TC), it was in plain sight with my name on a sticky note for everyone to see. I made sure I called first to make sure it was still there before I left my house in Seattle.

I talked quite a bit to the person who sold the figures, she remembered them, knew exactly where she placed them. I don't believe it was a careless move. She said they said they were Ben. They did have an opened case minus the wheelie, so I was able to get the Swerve, but at this point I'm throwing him in my closet, as looking at it just reminds me of this whole situation and I'm tired of being angry.

... And that's why we hate lurkers.

That's pretty damn weak though. I would have given someone a Bus Driver Uppercut if that were me.

There's a Masterpiece Thundercracker at Everett TRU. I bought the other one.
