Hopefully its only $60... Since I missed out on Unicron, I had to get G2 Bruticus, and that beast only came to $85 with shipping to the UK, so hopefully Omega Supreme will be a similar price.
I unfortunately think it's gonna be more than MP Thundercracker. They are jacking up the price on everything.
I can actually dig that. Can one achieve that base mode right out of package, or must one kitbash it to get that mode?
I still wish I had gotten Omega Supreme back in the hay day I think the original figures deco looks better but I'd still buy the new Omega since it's the ultimate classics figure.
well techinically he's a battle train and a battleship ... just saying. and his alt mode combined is likely the longest alt mode in all of TF i would think.
I found some on ebay (minus headmaster) for around $40 including shipping, although the head thing shouldn't be too much of a problem due to the built in emergency head. I also found a few with the headmaster for under $100. Some of the reviews are surprisingly recent, definately check them out.
This is on my must get list, hopefully CND TRU will stock it as they did Unicron, wish I'd managed to get Unicron before he vanished. I have the original mold and while I love it a lot I really can't stand that gimpy looking gimmicked up arm with the punch action. This new arm does away with that and makes him more G1 looking, I love it. Also, this alt mode looks a bit more functional than the magically transporting rocket base, I mean come on, how does Omega Supreme manage to launch his rocket into space, bring the base with him, and then have it miraculously appear on the planet's surface before he lands there. It was a fun toy for its day, the implausability and illogical leaps we must take to make it work as the ultimate line of defense really make me appreciate the space train mode better. At least that one can carry all of its pieces and not cause mind-^&**ing questions of how he gets around. I just hope that the cost won't be too prohibitive, after seeing how much the 3rd party WFC figure is going to cost, I'd much prefer going for Hasbro's answer to it than simply grabbing something 3p because it follows a design that, while cool, doesn't strike me as 350$ cool.
The paint and retool are fantastic. I just hate his mitten hand. It's too bad they couldn't do something to give him some kind of posability with it.
mitten hand? the one thats being released will have a g1 styled hand. and as for price? im willing to pay 100-120 for this guy.
I don't see how it can be super expensive, the Amazon Unicron was what, 60 bucks? Does it have THAT much more plastic in it than Omega Supreme?
And? I never said it was or wasn't like G1 nor did I say I liked or disliked the G1 figure. I simply stated I didn't like this figures hand.
I think he is referring to the hand created by the bow of the ship. At any rate i will buy this and the Energon Optimus repaint if the price is right and it still available after i have fort max.
For those with the original mode, do the arms come off like the G1 or are they all one piece? Wondering how hard it would be to mod a G1 arm-cannon on in place of the bow-mitten.
