As of like 9PM: Golden Ring TRU has a spot for Prime, but not for Thundercracker. Otherwise, standard assortment full of Bumblebees and stuff.

As of 9:30PM: White Marsh Target has essentially the same set up, though they have a Soundwave deluxe too.

As of about 10PM: White Marsh Walmart has... Stealth Bumblebee! Also Bulkhead and Starscream Voyagers, but yeah. Bumblebees, Stealth Bumblebees! I think they have a Cliffjumper, too.

Nothing of real note anywhere.

 

Hagerstown TRU had a bunch of the GDO Scouts and 2 FE Deluxe 2-packs today.

Picked up 2 Laserbeaks and 1 FE 2-pack... left everything else.

 

Need to rant: Rockville TRU charged me $16.49 for my Springer and wants to charge an extra $.05 for a bag...wow. The richest county in MD and I have to pay for a BAG..REALLY?...Really?....really Montgomery County?

Rockville TRU, found 1 each GDO Springer, Swerve, Cliffjumper. No GDO scouts or legends. Found 2 TFP deluxe Prime & Megatron 2 packs, and a bunch of deluxe TFP BB's and 1 CJ, a bunch of cyberverse dudes 2 each voyager TFP Optime and Megatron. And a lot the Wheeljack case form Generations...finally FO C pleny of Optimus and Jazz and 3-4 Shockwave so if you dont have him there you go...

Golden Ring TRU.....nothing special to report, but I did get a price adjustment for Springer cuz they show GDO deluxes for $14.99 so take that Rockville TRU  

 

I have a feeling that CJ and Swerve will end as shelf filler no one seems interested in them...I might pick up CJ cuz I don't have one in my collection, and I might pick up a Swerve in hope that a 3rr party will make a Orion Pax head

 

As of 4:30 today, there was one GDO Deluxe of Springer, Swerve, and Wheelie at the Columbia TRU.

 

Just picked up the combati cons at golden ring tru....now we know they're in area

 

Frederick TRU had 2 MP Thundercrackers and No MP OPtimus Primes or GDOs as of last night. Hagerstown TRU had 8 MPTCs, 0 MPOPs, 1 GDO Sandstorm, and 1 FE E-pack as of last night.

EDIT: I got a GDO Springer last week and really like the figure a lot more than I thought I would. He looks really good standing in w/ RTS Hotrod, Generations Kup, and Blurr.

 

Frederick TRU had this morning MP OPs, MP TCs, GDO Scouts (left a Laserbeak and Sandstorm) and the FE Entertainment Pack (left 1 out of the 2 there)

 

Should of added that the GDO scouts are at golden ring tru too along with one of the prime entertainment packs.

 

According to Census Bureau MoCo was the 10th richest county in the US. Howard County was 5th. So Howard County is the richest county in MD and therefore doesn't need a bag tax. MoCo on the other hand needed a handout since the beginning of the year and hence started the bag tax starting Jan 1, 2012. Yeah, there's a bit of sarcasm in the last few sentences.

 

What i hate more than the bag tax, the damn liquor stores are ran by the county!!! They close at 9:00pm  

 

So, as of about 6PM: Golden Ring TRU Had no sign of GDOs, or Combaticons. The price stickers were there, but nothing to be seen. There was still that Prime Entertainment Pack, though.

6:40PM: Towson TRU has the GDO scouts and GDO Swerve. Nothing else of note, no MPs at either location.

 

The lurkers out there got it all. None of that was left in Frederick except for the lone Sandstorm.

EDIT- the 2 MPTCs were still there last night.

Complaining about a bag tax when you're willing to spend almost $20 on a single figure boggles my mind. Its a nickel. A nickel.

 

$20?? Im trying to spend 80+ on Optimus!!  

 

OK its not just at TRU its eveywhere in Montgomery Co....I went to Subway for lunch and the handed me my sandwich in the wrapper with no bag.

When I returned home and visited my local Golden Ring TRU they was nice enough to do a price adjustment for me, and if you purchase anything from a store in Baltimore you get the bag for FREE.

 

Well when you come up to Baltimore, look me up I'll take you to some spots that don't close until 2 am.

 

yes, it's pretty much any store that hands out a bag, plastic or paper, is forced to charge 5 cents per bag in order to help fund some MoCo restoration of something something. I forget the actual details. Most just think it's another tax grab sorta like all the red light and speed cameras in the county. Essentially the county saw how much DC was making off of the bag tax and the cameras and followed suit. At least in DC a restaurant is able to give you a paper bag for free since the law specifically states the tax is on plastic disposable bags. PG County was able to implement a bag tax but that got rejected. VA (the whole state) was thinking about a 20 cent bag tax but I havent heard anything else about it.

 

When I buy a figure in Montgomery county, I just don't get a bag. Multiple figures I might, but one or two, I just don't bother. Very rarely do I find more than 2 that I need at one store.
