Would it have been that hard to give this Devastator a G1 gestalt headsculpt, and to paint them all in G1 accurate colours? It would make this repaint a lot more appealing.

 

yeah, those missiles on Magnus have to move to his shoulders, that would seriousl be a 'make or break' on the mold to me, and i'm still not thrilled with how far back his shoulders are. his transformation is imaginative though, and the sculpting on his legs is very cool.

Devastator is a joke...Why not releaase the Arial Bots and the Combaticons and call it good!?!

The Magnus looks weird, Fallen looks nice as does Megatron...Make you wonder why they released the first tank??

Alternators look disappointing...can't make any sense of ravages cat mode

 

6" megs and Fallen look very nice, and with that back shot of Cheetor, i cannot believe how well done his sculpt is ~ seems like it's miles beyond the other 6" ti's quality wise....

 

Magnus seems to be mistransformed, otherwise he looks fine to me. I am SO not buying that Devastator set. I f'n hate the idea of buying a set with doubles of vehicles. It's really cheap of them.

 

i gotta say, the flames on the Fallen are kind of goofy ~ i would have much prefered those rubbery clear palstic add ons like some Star Wars figures get that ( it think there was a Super Battle Droid and a General Greiveous with Flames) could plug into some of the vents...

 

I didn't get that impression...I felt like Aaron was serious, but he tossed it out there with a smile 'cause he knew what the reaction was going to be. Plus, he got looks from his VP and the guy sitting next to him (Greg Lombard, I think?).

Also, the color scheme for the Megatron/Abrams tank was a fan creation, but the fan was a friend of Eric from the design team. The friend created it and put it out on the internet to 'see what would happen in the fanbase.'

 

Wow, Devastator looks...like crap.

EDIT: Although wait - though there's vehicle repaints, there IS potential here...

The 6" Titanium news is awesome... loving The Fallen and WW Megatron. At least he looks better than GI Joe Megs.

Ultra Magnus looks weird at first glance, but the more I look at him the more I like him. The thing that makes him look off is the fact that they miss-transformed him (big shock there), because if you look at his missile launchers they appear as though they can be moved to his shoulders. Pegs on the shoulders and on the sides of the launchers. I think that's what makes him look off... to me at least.

The news about WW Grimlock is great... to bad they don't have him on display.

Classics Cliffjumper is what I expected it to be. No complaints there.

Classics Devastator is somewhat underwhelming... however, I will buy it as it still looks nice... was hoping for something more fanwanky, but was prepared for a repainted Energon figure. They should have also done the Aerialbots or something.

Sad that the Alternators are going on a massive hiadus for the mediocre movie designs. Hopefully we'll see something better come out of the toys than the CG designs we've seen... otherwise I'll feel jipped that the Alts line is at it's end for now...

 

Oh, forgot that Aaron said there'd be two waves of Classics (for now), and he was corrected by the guy next to him (again, think his name was Greg, not sure) who said there would be three. Aaron looked confused for a second, and asked him was the third one was...Greg mouthed something, and Aaron looked liked he remembered. I think it's just a question of numbering the waves, though, 'cause they did say all the Classics would be on display today.

 

Magnus' poles on his shoulders must slide down, otherwise, they must have realised how goofy he looks.

Constructicon doesnt look like a bad set, and for those that missed him in Energon, its a good thing.

Now, rerelease Bruticus + Superion too.

 

Well after seeing pictures:
- Looks like the new titanium megatron may make up for that earlier POS
- Classics repaints already after wave 1 ; I LOL'D
- Combiner set doesn't seem THAT bad. At least it's not a mesh of colors anymore
- Looks like another year of just buying two TFs ...and they're alternators

 

well, there's gotta be three now since Ramjet and Cliffjumper aren't in wave 2   i'd be pretty surprised if we don't get a 'redeco wave 4' with Dirge and Thundercracker, maybe 'anime Astrotrain' or 'invisble Mirage'... One thing that surprises me about them doing Hot Rod is there's no readily apparent redeco...

 

Well, everything looks/sounds pretty good except for Devastator. That's just the worst of the three they could have picked. And the middle guy's transformation is just horrid.

So are we getting two 6" ultra magnuses now? I've seen the pictures of the white WWI Prime repaint and the G1 style. I wouldn't mind both at all actually.

 

I wonder what chances Hound has of being in the Classics line?? Has anyone heard him mentioned at all?? 

 

I never found the Energon Constructicons so this is good news. The WWI Megatron makes up for the crappy version that is already out. The Titanium Cheetor is just incredible. Looks like it may very well be the best Cheetor yet. I wonder why there are no beast mode pics? I keep hoping for a Titanium Rhinox and Terrorsaur though.

 

Digging the new Titaniums. The only thing I'm not crazy as far as Ultra Magnus, is how far back the arms are, but other than that I think he's awesome, finally we have Ultra Magnus that isn't just a white prime cab. Not surprised that we're getting TWW Grimlock, but I'm looking forward to it. I always liked that design.

Those couple Alts are pretty cool looking. Probably nab those when they come out.

Kinda dissapointing with Devestator, would have been cool if the remolded a little bit.

Classics Cliffjumper works really well as a straight repaint.

Whoo hoo! Titanium Ultra Magnus! I've been waiting for a Magnus like this for years! The only flaw I see would be if they left the missile launchers at the top of his arms instead of attaching them to the sides. Doesn't matter, however, as I'll still buy him.
Is that another Megatron with only one hand?   Other than that, he looks pretty good.
Cliffjumper may be a pass. Not one of my favorite characters, and it doesn't look like he got any remolding.
The Fallen looks good, I'll get that one too.
I just sold my Energon version of Devastator, so I'm not too inclined to pick this one up. I would like to buy just a single Sledge figure, however.
Not interested in the Alts, so no comments there.

 

looks like Ultra Magnus's missle launchers do move to where they are supposed to be. There are pegs and what looks like holes on the sides of the launchers
