No!!! Really thought it was to subtle. Yeah we really need a background check for all new members since it seems like were getting alot more lurkers lately.

It's rare that this doesn't happen, most mass market collectibles are easy to get given time.

Bobakhan has arachnid - first time I've seen her in the wild. Prices on g1 figures seemed high even for eBay.

Yup, the problem is that collecting lends itself to obsessive compulsive personalities, and many of us need it right this minute. I always love when something rare comes out, and it is a magical boogieman scalper that always beats the same people to the item. Sure there are some scalpers out there (probably more in our area than we would like), but 90% of the time people are getting beat to the punch by another collector. Some of us are relentless.

Im just glad my Optimus Prime is on preorder with TRU or I may have to dust off my tennies and beat the local chumps off the line at TRU on stock day.

I've had some bad experiences though. For instance, I only ever saw Hasbro MP Starscream once in stores- a single one, and I bought it. But had I not, I would have had to pay higher aftermarket prices. Also, back when Cat Ravage and Rumble Alternators came out, I NEVER saw them once in stores. If it wasn't for someone on these boards letting me know they stashed them, I would have never found the TRU reissue Insecticons. There are a few others, and I just don't like taking those chances with my limited hunting that I do. On the other hand, almost every MP exclusive released at TRU I have seen restocked a lot.

Alternators. Near the end of the line they released Walmart exclusive Cat Ravage and Rumble. I just call it cat ravage because it turned into a cat, unlike the older Ravage alt that was a bot.

Yea, I heard those Alts were a pain, but I wasn't collecting then (though I do remember stumbling upon a Rumble. Had I been deeper into collecting when MP Starscream came out, I would have helped out some boardies (was pretty new to the game, and $48.88 was a big purchase for me). The Walmart closest to me had a stack of them.

I think I have been pretty lucky, though I have been lazy with my collecting lately. I think Hasbro has slowly ripped my heart out of the game.

BTW, does anyone have a Generations Red Alert they may want to trade? Loose or on card. Don't really want to spend money right now, but I am up for some swapping.

I thought you would be getting mp red alert, which I thought was a more detailed version of united/generations red alert.

I feel like I need to proclaim my post count on Toyark to prove I'm not a holiday lurker. Really, I'm just a compulsive plastic crack addict and the MP line is my black heroin.

Oh, Im getting that too, but for the classic display (which is mainly in boxes right now) I planned on having the Henkei Red Alert in bot mode, and the Generations in car mode, but with the Beelzeboss Red Alert kit coming out, I think I may need an extra one in the collection at some point. Not really a priority, but figure I will try to track one down.

I was earlier in the day and they had 6 on the floor. 2 actually on the floor and 4 on the shelf. I bought a of the kreon blind packs (Glavatron and Skorpy) to get me over the $175 hump so I could get my $30 off again. Then headed to the landing and to watch Looper and then hit up Marshalls and found the Generations two-pack G1 Optimus vs. G2 Megatron for $13. Frys had nuthin'.
