Wow, I didn't know there was so much animosity towards Arcee. I like Arcee and I'm glad she's the "main" Autobot in this series instead of the obvious Bumblebee. I'm sad that she's kind of faded recently.

Anyway, they can say whatever they want, I don't trust that they're going to "fix" things. So what if they change the status quo? Just because there's change doesn't mean they show will suddenly be on a better track. I predict the same lack of follow through and empty plot.

 

Means no more Ground Bridging to different spots to fight decepticons and looking for Relics.

Means More Characters and a different setting.

 

Theory time: Season 3 is about the Autobots stranded on a still-dead Cybertron and have to find a way back to Earth.

Megatron takes over Earth in the meantime.

A new setting I could live with or without, the setting isn't a very big deal to me. But the no status quo thing is good news because while I like the show it seems like the show never makes any real progress. Something big like Unicorn will happen only for things to go back to how they were before since Unicron is taking another nap. Instead of a road trip from New York to California Transformers Prime feels more like NASCAR where people are just driving in a big oval for lap after lap.

 

Dictionary.com:
Status quo: the existing state or condition.

It means that at the end of the episode, things are just like they were at the beginning, so the next episode doesn't have to deal with anything that happened previously.

 

Transformers Prime might as well be written by the Dragon Ball Z guys.

Beast Hunters is the plotline of Season 3 not a separate series.

Also when myself and TFG1Mike talked with him it was apparent that there could be a likely Season 4. But with TF4 & TF5 in the works it's not likely as they may want to change gears again.

We did try to get Steven to tell us what new characters we might see, sadly he did not reveal. He does tell us that a CGI show like Prime is very expensive, so going with a core team in both factions was the best at the time.

I did bring up that they could use say the other seekers in a battle scene etc, or something to that effect. Steven also said that Shockwave might be seen again.

 

I honestly think Megatron will obtain the Omega Keys, and re-activate Cybertron himself. That would be the biggest change to the status quo, ever. And most likely the end of the status quo.

 

That was one of those take it for what it is answers, I guess. I personally love Prime, each week, I'm stoked to see wwhat happens. This cartoon has kept me on the edge of my seat, the entire time!!!

IF There was a Season 4, that would be awesome, but I understand with TF4 coming, hasbro might wanna go in a different direction.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if they killed off Optimus and Smokescreen got the Matrix with all the Destiny talk. Maybe he he is a """smokescreen""" and it turns out he will be Rodimus next season. He certainly is acting a lot like Hot Rod.

 

Speculation Time:

IF they are returning to Cybertron in S3, I would hope that Hot Rod/Rodimus would be his own character.

The Smokescreen being the Destiny's Child, is ok, and I don't mind it. The writers take this show and the stories to all kinds of levels of awesomeness. I have yet to see stuff coming, before it happens. I am thrilled that the writers and creators pay homage to other Generations of TF, without crapping on them, or just doing stuff for an in joke.

It does seem however that Smokescreen is following Optimus's path. An Archivist, warrior, then potential leader.

All I know is, I'm super ready for the rest of S2, and whenever S3 gets here.

 

We'll see synth-en again? My hope for that plotline is that we'll find out Bulkhead has been secretly taking synth-en—explaining his miraculous recovery. The other Autobots find out, and he has to kick the habit and face being crippled.

 

That's slightly dark. LOL However not too dark for this series. I'm actually happy that Bulk has regained his strength, and ability.

 

"Season 2 doesn't end well for the Autobots" I like the sound of that. That sounds like it will be an excellent plot twist.

Maybe Soundwave's voice is like Blackbolt's and his voice blows all the Autobots away to another galaxy.  

 

The " no status quo " part is very interesting.I wonder how everything's gonna play out

 

Season 2 is getting really good!

 

I really have been enjoying Transformers Prime. It may be the best Transformers cartoon so far I dare say. And I'm a huge fan of the original Sunbow. I hope it will last more than 3 seasons.
