That's cute. My younger sister loves Thor too. Granted, she basically has a crush on Thor, but still.

 

I bought the 4 disc version last week @ $19.99 which with postage came to £16ish shipped to the UK. Which is £6 cheaper than my lack of commentry and extras as well as an edited scene UK version i have, which will be sold when it arrives  

 

I think Loki getting sent back home was all part of the plan....

Best case senario in Thanos' eyes: Loki did defeat Earth, the next step would be to take Asgard. If he didn't, he knew Thor would take Loki back to Asgard, in place to get the Infinity Gaunt. And if they are talking about having Enchantress and Hella in the next Thor, that just makes all sorts of things line up for Thanos to enter into play for Avengers 2

 

One question I had after watching it for the 10th time

Why did the Chitauri all die after the nuke exploded? They're aliens not robotslike in Star Wars Episode 1.

 

Probably so the ending wouldn't drag out so much, and it seems kind of silly until you realize exactly who was actually in charge.

I like to think it was a fail safe built on the off chance Loki got too big for his boots because lets face it, he's the God of Lies and this is a villain team up.

 

I assumed that they were insectlike with a hive mind.

 

Is it still possible to find the Steelbook case at Bestbuy?I heard in a video review that its in front where you pay?

One thing I noticed while watching Avengers again. They totally missed their chance to give a cameo appearance to Favreau's Happy Hogan. Now, before anyone gets all pissy and "he hogged the scenes in IM2!!1!", hear me out.

In the final act when Tony has taken the

nuke and is flying it to the portal

and they have that brief scene when he tries to phone Pepper and she's on the jet, she is there with what appear to be three random Stark employees. There's Pepper, two females and a male (IIRC) all sitting there in shock at the news report they're hearing. The scene is all of like, eight shots - three of which are of all four passengers - and it's all of ten seconds. That, in my opinion, would've been the prefect opportunity to just throw Happy Hogan in their and replace one of the random, nameless, inconsequential Stark employees witnessing the events. Pepper and three random Stark employees? Why not throw Happy in there? It makes sense, and I'm sure Favreau would've been totally game for doing it. No dialogue, just him standing there with Pepper and two other employees, in shock. Maybe even put his hand on her shoulder? Just adds some more continuity, you know?

Granted, it didn't spoil the scene for me, it's just something that I think they should've done.

 

He might have been unavailable at the time, but I do like that idea.

 

Why is there a spoiler tag? Who hasn't watched this?

 

To prevent spoiling a key point in the movie for those who may not have seen the movie.  

Quite possibly lots of people. The thread title still has "*USE SPOILER TAGS*", and until that is removed, I'm going to be using spoiler tags. If people have seen the movie, then it's no big deal, they won't be spoiled. If people haven't seen the movie, then they know that something spoiler-ish resides beneath the black bar, so they'll avoid it. I'm just trying to be considerate is all.

 

I've recently watched the film, and damn, all those claiming it's awesomeness were solid in the foundation of said claim.

I LOVED IT.

Now, since everyone else has probably gotten hold of the best chat-stuff, here's something I noticed;

After knocking Black Widow against the wall, when Hulk moves in to finish her, his arm is raised in the classic backhand position. It kinda made me chuckle, even in the intense situation.

Cant wait for phase 2 , I just hope audiences dont get bored of the avengers films by phase 3. Their going to have to introduce new characters to keep audiences invested.
