    Ebay:
I just sold a pair of Jetfire Forarm armor on Ebay & the buyer left me negative feedback stating that they had broken clips.

When I contacted him for more info, he said that it was imposible for it to have been broken in transit since they weren't in the mailer enveloppe with the armor & that either I didn't know any better, or I purposedly kept the clips.

Here's the pic I posted in the auction:

I checked a few other sites as well as my Cybertronian Field Guide & these look exactly the same.

Is there anything missing or broken on these parts?

As far as I can tell they look ok. They certainly don't look broken.

Yeah he is mistaken, the arm armor is one piece, no seperate pieces. Maybe he's thinking of the seperate clip pieces that go with the leg armor.

There's nothing wrong with those. Mine attach fine and they are exactly the same. Perhaps he broke them trying to attach them and thinks they're at fault rather than simply being brittle through age?

Yup those are 100% intacted clips, perfect in every way... Hell even better then mine (b/c you have the stickers on still)

Edit!!!! Pulled mine out and doubled check... Wait for it... Yup there is a problem
    darn easy to miss too.
If you look closely at the front end of the clips you will notice that they come down and have the two small points (like fangs), well there are suppose to be tabs at the end of those to secure it to the front of the arms.
I'll take pics of mine to show you... brb

Methinks you should forward a link to this thread to him and he can see that he is in error - perhaps there's still a way to reach a positive resolution and you could do that "mutually agreed to withdraw feedback" thing.

Skyfire42 is correct (his edit comment).

My fangs broke on mine as well, real easy to miss if you don't know what to look for.

Oh shit, you're right. I knew about those tabs too because I have a broken set and a good set, but I totally missed it in the photo. Well, that's online forums for you.

Even if it is broken as long as they are in the same condition as they where shown in the picture I would think it’s the buyers fault for buying something broken.

Had a Monstructor piece break on me from bitterness. Was my fault but was pretty bummed out and have been treating G1's like unstable plutonium lately.

F this guy, he already left the negative feedback and you clearly did'nt rip him off.
Sucks he did that, it's always the dicks that do that. A reasonable guy would've asked you for a replacement first atleast. This guy wanted to be a prick.
There's probably nothing wrong with them and bet they're attached to his Jetfire.

Thanks for the help guys. :thumb

I guess he was right after all about them being broken.

But he's still a dick for not even emailing me first to try & resolve this before posting a negative feed. (I would have prefered refunding his 20$ than ruining my otherwise perfect feedback score.)

    Lesson learned,

I guess I'll have to start doing like 99% of other sellers & hold buyer feedback for ransom 'till they post first. :(

It wasn't by chance one of the guys with gold plastic, was it? Because gold metallic plastic is just problematic by default. It'll eventually crumble into dust with little to no provocation. G2 Slingshot and Electro were probably the most well-known for this particular fault, but several Pretenders and Monstructor pieces have also been known to show symptoms of GPS (Gold Plastic Syndrome), even up to the most recent figure to use the gold plastic, Beast Wars Grimlock.
