Could be as related to transformers as GI-Joe and my little pony for all we know.....Don't get your hopes up, it might not be TF related at all.

Then again it would be awesome if it were....maybe if they did it right yess...

Do you think the slideshow is a hoax? Did you even look at the slideshow document?

    BRING ON THE BEASTS!!!

It has always amazed me at how a fandom based on changing alien robots is so against change.

It has been over a decade since the beasts had the limelight. With 10+ years of vehicles there is only so many times you can tell a story. Let us welcome the return of the beast era if only to give vehicles some time to become fresh again.

The best news is that we get Classics until 2014 and Prime until 2015. When was the last time a TF series had 4 or 5 seasons? Add to that, the further along seasons go the better the chances are that we get combiners and city bots.

I see nothing but good news here. To those who hate Beasts and this news, really? suck it up. Many of us had to suffer through 5 years of Bayformers. I personally had to suffer through Bayverse and A/E/C and I survived, you will too.

Beast wars is basically the only cartoon that has had G1 inspired into it. Prime, Animated and the rest have all been pretty much their own timeline and story. So for me, bring on the Beast Hunters, hopefully it will interact the same way the original series did.
This coming from a G1 fanatic so I don’t fall under the truck not monkey debate.
Primal isn’t Prime, Megatron isn’t the same G1 Megatron. It was a very well thought out story line.

I would LOVE me some BW love. Make Dinobot & Rattrap Wreckers who had a falling-out, and are reunited to work together.

there's something shotty about this. I'm probably just paranoid. I never really liked animal-formers, and the front pic made it look like these are bayverse animal-formers

I'm all for Beast/animal formers but if it takes-the-place-of or is merged with the established notion of vehicle Transformers as we know it for something longer than an a few episodes i would be disappointed. Do a separate show and i'll happily watch it atleast.

To me it's important to voice my concern over the "Beast Hunters" speculation in Prime, how it doesn't really do anything for the Optimus v Megatron story, though it's not a confirmed official plan for Prime from personal experience with Transformers is that it's not a new thing to be disappointed series takes after only a few seasons. I wouldn't put it past them(Hasbro) in other words.

Love to see a poll on Beast Hunters idea good or bad. It seems it certainly has divided everyone, the Noes, the yeses, the wait and see-ers. Not that i expect it prove anything, animal formers is still wacky :p  (sorry)

human/robot form is an animal form already, then if it turns into an orther beast/animal form, the point being?

I can't believe this. This is far too good to be true. I hope if they plan to put this in Transformers Prime they don't have it as a one shot concept. Beast Wars and Beast Machines were two fantastic cartoons with great stories and characters. For all its faults Beast Machines was epic with the scope, the characters and animation.

Of course this needs to be given more thought before something can be done.

The worst character change was Optimus Primal by far. They turned him into a hippy but yeah I became a fan around the Unicron Trilogy.

That was the second worst to me, because there was at least something affecting him (the oracle). Rattrap had no such excuse as Father Primal.

    I wasn't thrilled with Megatron's changes either..

Anybody else thinking the Doom Lock trademark we saw Hasbro apply for will be related to Beast Hunters? Maybe even the dragon thing from the slideshow image?

Perhaps, though I'd hope it's not the dragon if only because I want Scourge instead

Maybe the Nemesis Strika trademark is also related

Anyone think they are going back to Transtech?

I remember seeing concept art back in the day when I knew the group responsible for the concept designs for the series.

It would make sense because it incorperates everything TF's has done since 84. IIRC the show was to be the introduction to Minicons (which we know HasTak and parents love), smaller Beasts bots that had an amalgimated beast/vehicle mode and large bot Decepticons.

I think where we are now as a franchise the timing for Transtech is better now than it was as a follow up to Beast Machines.

The real question is, will our new beasts be full out animals with robo insides or techorganic like Thundertron (or every other Beast since BW)?

If it's not connected to Prime then I hope it's connected to Beast Machines.

This actually makes sense. Introduce a lot of old or discarded elements with fresh takes as well as keeping everything about TFs that people identify with. If this is the direction they decide to go I can completely get behind it.

Just a thought but has it actually been confirmed that this is a transformers related licence?

Thing thats got me wondering is that Takara Tomy is also developing the Beast Saga line...which used to be Battle Beasts way back when.

It could be Hasbro is going to launch this under the name Beast Hunters with a series and toy line.
Transformers aren't the only toy line to have transforming robots and I find it odd the application has action figures, vehicles and transforming robots all as separate elements.
