This thread reminds me a little bit of how people thought that the Dreads and the Twins were racist.

 

That still pisses me off today that the Wreckers didn't get redneck accents because of that shit.

 

Technically if all Transformers spoke English they'd have English accents because a race of advanced beings would most likely learn the original dialect instead of the American off shoot where they forget to put 'U's in everything. In the TV series I can understand them all having American accents as they would have learnt the language from the locals.

Perhaps in the next game the Transformers will teach the early primitive humans how to speak English, but I doubt it.

 

No offense, but it's like every single post you make is some kind of complaint about the new stuff. What exactly is wrong with having a bunch of accents to differentiate the robots? I for one think the opposite of your opinion that the varied accents are "insulting" in any capacity. Rather, they allow the robots to come off with their own kind of personality, even the generic cannon fodder dudes benefit from different accents simply so it doesn't feel like you're killing the exact same dude over and over. I.E. G1 Shockwave just isn't G1 Shockwave without the slight British accent undertones highlighting his haughty "I'm smarter than you" attitude

Seeing as every TF series is different from every other TF series then there's no way that Transformers was ruined by the movies.

The movies had most is not all the ingredients to constitute it as a Transformers series so in fact it is fine.
