I think it's more like they pair Jack with Smokescreen in hopes that Jack's cool head rubs off on him.

Of course Jack Suddenly getting a racing car wouldn't seem like a very good disguise for Smokescreen.

 

Raph partnered with Ratchet sometimes. Because Bumblebee can't talk; the audience may don't understand and don't interesting them when one is beeping, one talk. So maybe Arcee will partneres someone else as the temporary arrangement?
Or probably she will be captured by Decepticons? Or damaged this "power of Primes"?

 

My guess would be arcee and jack have some sort of temporary argument. Their chemistry is too good to split them up.

 

I like this, and it's true, they work together too well to split them up now.

Although Arcee isn't the jealous type, I think, wonder if Jack would be spending too much time with Smokescreen and Arcee just starts doing loner stuff again.

The only shot I've seen of it makes it look like he has a gauntlet, not a new arm.

 

Looks like Smokescreen is replacing Arcee as Jack's partner while Arcee becomes Armada Hotshot

Bulkhead isn't going to aproove if Miko partners up with Smokescreen. Plus Arcee and Miko had that moment in Out of the Past.

 

I can't help but think Jack pairing with Smokescreen is gonna bring Sierra into the picture. *sigh*

 

How is Jack going to explain to other humans (not in the know) that he upgraded his crotch rocket bike to a $100K sports car? XD

my guess is that jack is put with Smokescreen so that he can help the new bot to better get use to liviing on Earth.

So jack will be back with Arcee in the end.

 

I wonder if they pair Jack with Smokescreen to keep an eye on the young bot.

No clue why it's associated with this post, other than maybe some (mis)information that Bulkhead may make a play for the hammer to repair/replace his bum leg...?
