Bastard. How much did you pay, if you don't mind me asking?

Re: the custom, I think its a fine line. I don't want to end up like modern sports days where everyone is a winner. But equally, we shouldnt be jumping on stuff that's not perfectly executed. It's ok to criticise, but let's not beat people up eh.

Constructive criticism is fine. Saying it's shit is not.

I paid just under £100 including postage.

Hmm, not bad. Not sure I'm quite prepared to pay that just yet though. I do really want him...

Yeah I kind of viewed it as "well RRP over here would be £70 and I'm willing to pay £30 for postage and not having to faff about and inconvenience friends".

There are a couple of nice sellers you can buy from on these boards - yeah eBay is safer and your covered,
But if you pay someone on here as a service instead of a gift - they would want you to pay the fee, which would be a couple of quid extra and then your covered,
I decided to pay fellow states board member as a gift - I likes to live dangerous lol,
But i have full confidence and no worries,

I would really welcome the option of an add on set for I gears ratchet where you could swap out all his black and replace with either white or red - i think having a pack of both colours gives more options on how you would want him to look - can this be done?
Can the creator/I gear make this happen:)
I remember seeing test shots of ratchet with red leg panels and he looked really good,

    Good question.

They're cheap, so i could imagine Hasbro UK throwing an avalanche of them at us.

(i'm also going to take this moment to reiterate my absolute hatred of Kreo)

Just paint the parts? I mean I think such a thing would be so niche it's doubtful if an add on pack would sell?

That being said you could have one of the shapeways designers knock up something?

What you have to take into account is nothing is going to be perfect to everybody as designing robots even for hasbro compromises have to be made to still make the thing profitable. After all that's what companies make toys for.

Hopefully, although I hope they remove the external serial numbers on the packs.

It was literally impossible to get the short packed megabloks marvel figures anywhere but ebay or for topdoller from unscrupulous toy/comic shops when the serials were on the packet, because scalpers were touring the country buying them all. :/

Oh I don't think it will actually happen, I just really like the idea, and thought it was worth mentioning,
I'm not gunna paint them but I'd be happy with maybe elbow stickers - I'm sure repro will knock something up,

We're getting them next year apparently, I for one hope they keep those serial numbers on as it will make it easier to acquire a full set without any doubles!

I almost qualified my rubbish comment when I posted, but figured people would get what I meant. Obviously not.

As a custom, in terms of painting and sculpting, the figure is excellent.

As a concept, in trying to make another Transformer with a car alt mode into Hot Rod, the choice of that Vehicon mold is "rubbish".

In my opinion, Wheeljack is the better mold to repaint into Rodimus. And I would probably pick Knockout, and maybe even Cliffjumper before I picked the Vehicon.

Regardless, it isn't noteworthy enough to be counted as news.

If you're trying to recreate anything remotely like More Than Meets The Eye Rodimus, the Vehicon mould is the perfect choice in terms of robot mode, especially the torso and upper arms.

Personally, if I had the time and inclination (and a spare Vehicon) I would alter him to be more of a Batmobile, then alter his robot mode to reflect that, cape, bat ears everything.
