Hasbro can always release it as a giftset if they want to, rather than individual figures in their individual packings. But having said all these, this bruticus is indeed an improvement over the PCC, who's knows the next toyline or series, they can realize that the main body ought to be bigger, the designers just need to look at their own forms in front of the mirror to make sense. For this piece, we can only hope for 3rd party to do something about it, Hasbro or Takara is not going to make a voyager onslaught for us, what is made is made.

If they have in mind to design the main body using a voyager, I am sure the limbs will then in turn be designed to hold the voyager body, it should not be the other way round.

I feel like I've seen dozens of alternate transformations/combinations for these figures, and while most of them are easily a vast improvement over the stock transformation, I'm yet to see anyone manage to pull off solid, proportionate limb modes for Blast Off and Vortex. Taking them out of the equation makes for a far more effective combination, in my opinion.

I was seriously considering skipping this set completely, but I'm very, very impressed by how this configuration looks. Onslaught + 2x Brawl, 2x Swindle is how I'll be displaying my Bruticus!

 

I'll only be getting Onslaught at first, since he's the only one that's more accurate in his individual mode than the SDCC version. After i Get all the other Fall of Cybertron figures I may go get the other four of these guys, just to complete the set.   Nice review, I really loved those pictures!  

 

Another pic of Bruticus in their individual bot modes, for me personally, I think their individual bot modes fare better than the combined mode.

 

I suddenly don't mind the garish colors that much and almost prefer them over the SDCC ones..

If these guys ever hit my area I'll more than likely just display them in their individual bot modes as well.

This guy was just released last Monday here in the Philippines and I was lucky that I got 1 out of the only 2 sets that arrived in my area, I must say I was disgusted at how hasbro presented him in bot displays and boxarts that I almost decided not to get him, but after reading about him here and the possibilities of ALTERNATE COMBINATION FORMS, I went ahead and tried do an alternate form for myself...

Here's Version 1



First Try and I already see him as looking much better than Hasbro's baboon version however blast off and vortex had such limited posability in this version that I had to research and fiddle with fruiticus some more...

So finally I came up with Version 2



This version is much more improved and much more proportionate and stable, so stable that he can do this...





Standing on one foot was no problem, now I tried the crouching position...



and he ddidn't even break a sweat!

Suddenly I feel like he's not so bad anymore, though colors and plastic quality could've been better...

 

that is THE best way ive seen him set up so far and i dont think it can get much better than how u have him configure and im going to do this when i get mine !

 

Sir, you win this thread forever. That's hands-down the best configuration I've seen from him, and makes him go from "a nice try" to "fantastic".

 

Wow, this has to be best we can make out of the piece that could have been better (that Hasbro has made) while waiting for 3rd party if any. Well done, Amuro!!

So does Blastoff actually come with a Hand for Bruticus?cuz Ive seens pics where he has no hand being that arm and I know in the game they us Blastoff for the Flamethrower.Unless it just wasnt attached in the pics Ive seen?
