Tough choice. Theres certain things I like about FoC more than WfC and vice versa.

But my pick has to be...FoC.

    FOC 1000x over.

The story was amazing, the MP is more refined and relies more on players facinf each other than the reliance on killstreak rewards plus the maps are better designed. I like how there better cover to use and I've seen people use them. Plus it's not horrid like Gears of War where people are annoying to hit because they're glue to it.

When WFC was first announced, i expected little to nothing... and got almost everything. When FOC was announced with overwhelming hype, i expected even more & got nothing!

... FOC is nothing more than an empty box good for 2 months of solid gameplay, if that.

I really like FoC, both the campaign and the mp but WFC has a far better mp. FoC does have a far better campaign though. Lately I've preferred playing FoC mp because I want to max out the characters and find out what they're truly capable of.

WfC all the way. Edges out FoC in campaign, multi, and escalation. Looking all pretty with map textures and customizing bots doesn't do it for me. Gameplay is what matters (to me), and WfC does it better.

You obviously haven't played WFC in years.

The gameplay seriously is balls. Campaign may be tighter, but only slightly.

It got some decent playtime a few days before FoC came out just because I didn't want to jump into FoC cold turkey. I haven't gone BACK to WfC after playing FoC though, so maybe my opinion would be different. Can't imagine that happening though. As soon as I started playing FoC, I was like "where are all the loadout options?"

I'm talking about the actual gameplay, not the stuff the game (doesn't) gives you to play with, I mean as in the controls are better, driving, shooting, aiming, fighting, flying, etc. All so much more refined and that close camera is a must.

I like both but I have to say I like War more. Two reasons; first, the Autobot and Decepticon campaigns were segregated so I could get my con fix immediately and without interruption. Second, while I didn't take advantage of it very much, the co-op feature allowed me to play as a variety of more characters in the campaigns than I was allowed to in FoC. The only major improvement in FoC over WfC has been in the subject of multi-player in that there are now a LOT more chassis' to use and far more customization options (although a color slider would still very much be welcome).

I think they are both goo games. The both have their good and bad points.

WFC's campaign co-op was an awesome thing. It's a shame it was omitted from FOC. I know I'm not the only one who misses this form of play, I hope HMS brings it back in future installments.

I also enjoyed (and now miss) bosses like Omega Supreme and Trypticon. Boss battles like those were so epic. Optimus and Megatron's showdown is not as epic as these.

I do enjoy FOC's sharper graphics, cut scenes and in some cases, better acting, I'm more thankful for the ability to toggle your shooting hand. This SHOULD have been in WFC.

Host Migration is a real let down. I expected it to work as it does in games like Uncharted--the game never stops/recalibrate because someone decided to split; the game continues on. I hope HMS will improve upon this in future installments. It's faster to end your game and start anew than to allow Host Migration to do its thing! How crazy is that?

The more I see Escalation, the more I dislike it. What's the point of playing notable characters if (in teams) if they aren't going to interact with one another?! Why can't they have an ongoing dialog? I think this is a major misstep. Imagine what Escalation would have been like had HMS added a story element to it--it wouldn't have to be part of the actual story, though it it were, that would be great too. Wave upon wave of bad guys and the pre-selected characters not saying a word to one another is a strange thing.

Moreover, why doesn't Escalation have big bosses? I wish Bruticus or something original, not a titan, were created as a boss.

    Anyway, I like both.

I've said too much, so I'll stop here.

Agreed! All along, I thought it would be where your host quits, and then NOTHING happens, it just switches hosts quickly and behind-the-scenes.

    Yeah, I know, right?

I don't know what Naughty Dog did, but I want HMS to investigate! That's the way to host multiplayer play.

    lets see

Campaign - FOC [hands down. co-op is a little missed, but i dont mind so much]
    Multiplayer - FOC [customization ftw]
Escalation - WFC [itd take some tweaking to get FOC up to snuff, imo. Some degree of character selection within the classes would be nice. More maps! More waves/the addition of bosses ala Gears 3 would be tight]

For the story, level design and overall appearance of the environments, FOC. Honestly, I spent a good portion of my first play-through just kind of admiring the environment.

For multi-player, FOC gets some points for the better customization (other than colors), but from what I understand, WFC's MP was overall superior.

FOC had better voice acting for the most part.

Now, imagine if they took everything good about both games and mashed em' together. Imagine it.

To me, they both have their standout features, so I'll go with a tie.

I like both equally. I miss some of the multiplayer abilities, the killstreaks, the slide, and double jump, but I understand why they are gone. I just love my Overshield Matrix + Nucleon Shock Cannon. I would sometimes commit suicide with missiles to chain three Shock Cannons in one game.

The campaign made me feel like more was at stake and told a better story in FOC, but I miss WFC's cooperative mode.

    I don't really play Escalation.

Try this same poll in six months and see. Betcha it doesn't hold up to long term play.

...oh, and it's only 52% in favor. That tells you nearly half the people don't feel it's a vast improvement and others a lesser game.
