This is a custom I did for my boyfriend. It's a first edition Transformers Prime Arcee, painted up in Junkion colors. I was surprised how well a "Prime" toy fit in to the "Classics" line. I made a Lego Chain weapon, following Misfits tutorial. There is a Shapeways vendor that supplied the gun. Hope you enjoy, and I'm glad to be back!
I used the same figure to make Nancy a couple of months ago with some mods and a full repaint to her G1 show (primarily)pink colors. As nice and clean as the paint job you did is, I'm not feeling even the hint of Nancy from this honestly...
lol love the pics, and the figure looks like it was molded in those colors the paints so clean also the background is an awsome use of primus and bot junk, great designs all around nice work
I'm a big fan of the colors two! Kind of sick of seeing so many pink bikes, I mean just because it a female character doesn't mean it has to be pink. I really admire Chibbywave's Guts to try a completely original paint scheme. I love the brown biker Gloves, number one in my book
My god, that last panel os priceless. XD And she seems a bit 'compact' for Wreck-Gar, but she still looks amazing. wonderful color scheme, and a good choice of weapons too. Final score: niiice :3
Brilliant! She definitely needs a new noggin' but other than that, I love what you did with this, her "gloves" are particularly great! Her being ridden by WG is..slightly...disturbing, somehow, but it's good to know that it works!
Love the black bull on her stomach XD Was that intentional, or a happy mistake? Looks great, and I agree, tired of seeing pink redos of Arcee.
You guys do know that Nancy was an actual character who made a brief appearance in G1 right? I wasn't saying this Arcee figure should only be painted pink to be G1 Arcee. Yeah, we've all seen that done enough. I love the colors and clean paint work on this custom, but it is no more Nancy than painting Wreck-gar blue and calling him Springer. It needs either a new "Nancy" like head, or her colors to resemble that character. Wouldn't even have to be both. Pic of Nancy from the show below.
The problem is, and mostly thanks to Habro's SDCC exclusive, you paint it pink it's automatically going to register as Arcee: G1 Deco now, no matter who it's supposed to be. Whether it's Elita-1, Ariel, Nancy, or what. And I hate to say it, but even a new head won't help much with Arcee syndrome. But, the current colors fit with the Junkions better, at least in my opinion, and helps her stand out as her own character.
She looks great! Very good Nancy. The only improvement that I can think is the alt-mode side panels, they look much clean, maybe some other colors details.
Yep, I know what you mean. Nancy sure didn't fit in with the other Junkion's colors in the cartoon. Like I said, at least some mods and/or a new head even if not the full accurate color scheme (which actually had more red, brown, and beige than pink) could make this the Nancy character. I love the paint job and it sure fits the junkions, but not as Nancy at all. I see a really nice Junkion colored TFP Arcee. But then, who cares what ya call her.
