Did Hasbro modify the display stand peg or still the same as MP3 display stand?

 

Which side needed modifying? The part for his jet mode pegs perfectly - haven't tried the robot side yet.

 

I don't know, I'm just wondering because when MP11 mold was released I remembered a couple of people were commenting the MP3 mold display stand didn't go well with MP11.

 

I think it was just on supposition. His abdomen plates don't have the notches in them for the stand tab like MP-03 did.

But then, MP-11's abdomen plates are shaped differently, and I don't think they extend up as high. So there's clearance regardless.

 

Got some pics? So in the end, it has clearance. Was this issue in the robot mode or jet mode when placing on the stand?

 

Really hope Takara does a MP11 TC and SW. This Hasbro version looks cheap and tacky with those decals everywhere. They look like tramp stamps ffs. Blue's also a bit dark for my liking.

 

I'm not a fan of the decals either, but since this is a cheaper and easier way of getting one other than the older MP TC by TakTom, I'm stuck with this option. Not a bad toy though, just some minor complaints.

 

Does anyone else have this problem with the tailfin paint apps?

Just an FYI for those who've asked. The tampos can be removed by rubbing with a rough paper towel soaked in isopropyl alcohol (91% is best), and rubbing the residual off with a pink eraser. I got rid of those "D-24" tampos on the nose with a bit of elbow grease.

As for the parts that are supposed to be black, nosecone is actually molded in dull black. The forearms and feet are molded in blue and painted gunmetal.

 

I'm pretty sure it is blue with paint.

Yeah. Everything about it reeks of terribleness... except for the toy itself, which looks straight up amazing.

 

The blue is fairly spot on with Classics TC. So it's a bit darker than most of these pics indicate. Here's a comparison of Classics, Encore G1, and MP-11.

 

I'm ridiculously thankful it's toy-accurate blue instead of the much uglier animation-accurate light blue. It's just not as good looking.

 

I'm happy with the blue they chose, it's nicer in person than in pictures. In fact, i'd almost wanna say it's a similar shade to the new 3DS XL blue.

 

Okay. Wow. Two masterpiece figures stateside in the time span of like three months? Dang. Hasbro has legit picked up the ball.
