How would you know the difference between the two if someone is jumping a lot? Even if you kill that player, that doesn't even mean you're better or they're a "noob"; it just means you killed him/her, could have been low on health or taking fire from multiple sources...who knows.

In other words, yes it's perfectly okay to jump around as much as you want. How you play is up to you as long as you're not cheating. That's all.

As I said, if you're just hopping around for no other reason than to be an annoyance, and not using it to distract the other person so your teammate can rush in and kill you and you're not even shooting anything, then you're using the bunny hop only to get on someone's nerves, and to distract them from playing the game and having a good time. If you're bunny hopping because your dodging enemy fire, and you're firing back to try and kill them before they kill you, then that's fine. You're actually giving the other person a reason to pay attention to you, and you're actually playing... Not when the person tries to turn and walk away from you, but you shoot them so they can turn around and look at you messing with them. The other guy can just kill you, but who's to say you won't just respawn and continue doing the same thing. I've had this happen to me plenty of times, and I kill them literally 30 times with a quick-scope snipe to the head, but the respawn and keep trolling me so I just leave and find a different match where everyone is mature, there to have fun, and are actually playing against each other.

 

No. Its a valid tactic. And if you defeat people with it, you are better then they are.

Anyway to the thread there is nothing wrong with bunny hopping if its your tactic

 

Jumping with a destroyer in essential if you want to land your rockets and mines in the right spot, at the other guys feet.




i havent gotten the fullgame yet, my tv broke a day before it came out lol, but during the demo i got the bunny hopper achievement twice in one life.... i bet you dont jump as much as i do lol.

 

There's nothing wrong with it. I can shoot you just as easily while you're bunny hopping as when you're not.

 

I find it very frustrating BUT if that's how you play who am I to say otherwise?

 

Its a feature, you're using it how its supposed to be used, everyone else can just fucking deal with it.

 

One of the Challenges, even encourages it.

There is nothing wrong with bunny hopping. It's there to get you our of tight spots and avoid splash damage from heavy weapons. And besides, skilled players can still down you during mid-dash anyways, ground or air.

So keep on, keepin on.

You can do it, and there's nothing wrong with it, but I'll hate you for it.

 

Bunny hopping is not a problem at all. I like it as a matter of fact because I can aim my explosives right at them when they land and its hilarious (I play as a destroyer).

The real problem is the goddamn scientists finding an unreachable vantage point and acting like cowards the whole match. Yeah I said it, anyone who uses this tactic is covering for the fact that they can't play anyone else up close and personal, especially when you see a whole team doing it, which is infuriating and fucking ridiculous.

I usually demolish the other team by myself anyways, but this tactic is just pure bullshit.

they annoy me atm but everything seems to annoy me about this game atm. HM need to release a patch cause if it's not out soon i'll stop playing, mind you getting games on the PC is getting hard as it is as the aren't many players still playing

 

Except they are not obligated to get "up close and personal" any more than you are obligated to switch to scientist yourself and go kill them. Do any of the scientists weapons really scream "up close and personal" to you?
