You must be the type of guy who needs to be told the sky is blue when you can just look outside.

He said "the guy has turned around". This would, or at least should, indicate to you that his opponent had his back to Shizuka. The use of simple logic has apparently escaped you.

I can easily see this. Those really skilled with the Scientist dominate. Personally I suck at playing Scientist but it's easily the most powerful class, that's why it has the least amount of health for balancing.

Yup. I almost always get first place with Scientist, often times with zero deaths.

Though the map choice helps a lot. A wide open map is much easier for a scientist than one of the closed narrow maps.

    Here we go again.
"Turned around" could mean anything. Several times, someone has been walking around, I'm a small distance behind them. They can "turn around". Duh.
If I'm the type of guy that needs to be told the sky is blue, then you're the type of guy that loves to argue about the dumbest things for the stupidest reasons.

Carrying over from WFC, Scout/Infiltrator is still my favorite class. You really just need to get the Path Blaster upgraded to have faster rate of fire and you can rip up unsuspecting kids. I definitely prefer the Null Ray from the last game over the Nucleon Charge Rifle, but you can still get work done with it.

Wouldn't this mean you were behind them? Isn't that what you said Shizuka should have explicitly stated because you couldn't figure out if he was behind him or not even though he said "turn around"?

In another context, sure "turn around" could mean anything but in the context of "I'm behind an opponent shooting at them and they kill me before I kill them after they turn around" (yet I don't specifically state I'm behind him), it's still pretty clear that I'm behind him.

I wouldn't say I love arguing about dumb things however you write so many dumb posts I think it's hilarious to throw a comment or two your way. The most stupid reasons? You're on a message board doing the same thing I'm doing now so....kind of hard to criticize someone for something when you do it yourself....

Does any of this matter? Obviously not but I get a kick out of you getting your panties in a bunch over what I say so I'm in it for the laughs.

I've been playing the Scout/Infiltrator since WFC's demo. It's been my main for the past two games.

    It certainly feels...squishier...

It sucks if the opponent team has two scientists constantly healing each others up and healing other members....

If you do that with the ability cooler, oh my goodness. You can get from one end of the map to the other in less then a dash or two.

I certainly think the Scouts have been nerfed. Cloak is so short it's almost useless and the Scatter Blaster is a death sentance waiting to happen. Seriously, it's the slowest thing to fire and does virtually nill damage when it does connect. I've stood there firing round after round with it only to be killed by someone I've shot literally 10 times or more. It's ridiculous.

OK I'm back with some experience.

The Path Blaster can net you some kills but isn't ol' reliable as it was in the demo which is a shame since it's my favourite gun. It needs a slight boost - just a small one.

So I use the Scatter Blaster for the first time since the beginning of the demo since the range/damage was great from my experience on the receiving end. Using that as a primary or secondary then quickly switching to the Subsonic Repeater got made me win 90% of confrontations unless my opponent was skilled/lucky.

The scientist is now my favourite class - my second favourite in WfC (but would have been first if not for the small health). I have a sexy combo of Orbital Pistol and Neutron Asault Riffle which nearly confirms a kill even against Titans. Now I've got the Photon Burst Rifle too so now I have some range.

Also, I hate to be a whiner but does anyone feel that vehicle missiles have gotten a serious boost now? As an Infiltrator one missile literaly took away my shield and half my health.

That Scatter Blaster has the same range of the Sonic Repeater which are like 4/10 so weak in range ... many times I shot at close distance but still can't tell if I made a hit or miss... I now think I might have to turn up the sound effect and turning off the other music effect... so far I 've been playing in very low volume (cuz' at late night usually I play)

As I recall, the Scatter Blaster was a piece of crap in WFC as well. My main strategy there is to cloak, run right up to the enemy, fire once, and melee. Takes out near anything below a Soldier. But yeah, Scouts were never meant to firefight extensively. They were made to break enemy lines, get in close, and deliver final blows. The Infiltrator does that fine by my count. Just use the Path Blaster instead, it's the automatic capability of the Scatter Blaster with the range and accuracy of the Energon Battle Pistol (which was shiiiit) and very little recoil. Since the Infiltrator's cloak is pretty useless with its tiny duration, act like an actual scout and just try not to be seen.

well the cloaking makes a great deal when you are there to capture a node in "conquest"...
simply watch the bar filling up about an half... (so usually the enemies are coming... but still not reaching the node) then cloaking and standing still .... (so when the enemy scientist flies in and spawns the sentry, the sentry can't locate you that is good, and the scientist might wonder where the hell the enemy is... :)

and then by the time cloaking expires, you got that node and the score !! or dashing a bit left and right and the point here is for me to capture and score the XP.... then flee...

At this rate missing with an EMP grenade which stuns for about a second is better than cloaking.

I don't see anywhere saying how each class should be played. People assume that Infiltrators are hit and run types - and I'm not saying they're wrong but HMS haven't said that I can't use the class as an assualt-type class. Snipers in Battlefield 3 get flamed for sniing and get told to be aggressive; I should be able to choose.

I get that they have low health so they should be in direct conflict but you know what? I don't want to be forced to pick of already weakened opponents, I want to be able to go in and fight like I did in the demo but I can't anymore.

The only thing that was OP about the class was the Path Blaster, everything else was fine but ultimately their weapons save one works best in medium-close combat but then with low health you'll probably die and you can't get away because cloak has been nerfed. HMS really need to rethink the balances.

Vehicle missiles are now dealing too much damage while the Riot Cannon and Thermo Rocket Launcher seemed to have been buffed greatly too so that they're almost impossible to escape at a certain range. Heck, I kept getting beaten by a bunny hopping truck.

Yes I have good matches and bad matches but I just feel that the tweaks were just done wrong and it's not as fun to play as the demo. I'd say that things are more balanced in some areas but now completely imbalanced in other places.

    You don't like class responsibility?

Because that's exactly what a classed system advocates. You don't take a Soldier head-on as a Scientist. You don't try to be stealthy as a Soldier. High Moon probably assumes that, based on the abilities of the class and the weapons provided, that you should be able to deduce how you're obstensibly supposed to use it.

Battlefield players telling snipers to be agressive, rather than snipe, is frankly stupid. Don't listen to them because I can bet you a fair amount they don't know how to play the game, aside from charging in head-on. I've recently began playing TF2, one of the most class-based shooters in existence. And they actually call you out if you don't work inside the responsibilities of your class. A Medic trying to kill people does not last long. A Sniper in close quarters combat isn't designed to last long. Much like your scout, they have been jockeyed into a position that fits their class. Don't like it? Go play as a Leader or a Soldier. But don't start complaining when you can't take one of those classes head-on.

    This.
If you wanna be so damn aggressive, play a Titan. And don't say "BUT I WAN CLOKE", because what the hell does it do for you if you're being aggressive?
