The more I look at it. Smokescreen, The Red, white and Blue colors, the number 38 And the red V on his head pretty much nails it as Smokescreen.

 

Prowl? Why not jazz or sideswipe?

 

Seems an odd character to have, Smokescreen has never been a critical character before (even in Armada he didn't do a hell of a lot).

Still, be nice to have a new incarnation of the character, if it is him. I'd prefer to give Bluestreak another go, we haven't seen him on screen since G1.

Yes but he was still a "police vehicle" ... a "police" Motorcycle Cop. not to mention i state again we have seen his concept already for the MMO game wich takes place in the Prime Universe.

It did not have any racing 28 decals and was indeed indicative of a "police vehicle" alternate form.

 

Smokescreen would not be to bad. Still the car has accents of blue and red over the white car. So Smokescreens colors are integrated.
Well its the prime universe. Maybe the rocket pods pop up from his shoulders. The robot head has a red crest, which more familar as prowl than smokescreen, but maybe its just what they thought stood out better on this mostly white body, The crests are a throwback to smokescreen, or prowl, though now that I think about it Silverstreak had red forehead crests as well and is a legitimate possibility.

Odd That its not someone who has a toy planned already. I'm not really sure if another sports car robot is going to have the muscle to temporarily replace bulkhead. Clearly the Autobots may have to change their tactics without their bruiser. We have Arcee and bumblebee who are capable single combat scouts, Wheeljack the Ronin samurai explosives expert with a ship, Ratchet the Field medic turned Command Center surgeon. with synth-En in the air as a returning plot device, then we have Optimus Prime who is so capable that only he can fight Megatron, the combined effort of everyone else is'nt on that level of power.

I expect he will have some qwirks to seperate him from bumblebee and wheeljack, but I hope he has some kind of special weapon or ability that makes him as enjoyable to watch on the show as others.

Smokescreen would be logical choice then. with Rocket launchers and the Ability to obviously deploy smoke for cover. That would be an interesting way to make up for bulkhead's stasis without just replaceing him with another bruiser like Ironhide, Sergeant Kup, or Ultra Magnus. Really leaves room for bulkhead's return to dramaticly help.


But ok new autobot. And it looks like Shockwave is confirmed.

 

The head design says movie Sideswipe inspiration. It looks like the car mode is high performance. So I am going with Sideswipe and I am hoping it is a new mold that is as equally inspired by the movie version as much as how Bumble Bee is inspired by it's film version.

 

I'm starting to like Shockwave's design!

At 0:16 it looks like there's a pyramid behind Optimus, first the Fallen reference now this please no. I'm really curious about Megatrons arm upgrade- it looks like he's only got something attached to him upper arm, not the whole thing replaced. Maybe the gold/cerise arm hanging in the foreground when Knockout operates on Megs belongs to the same mech that almost stomped on Jack?

And the first look at SilasDown- I hope they will capture in the show how utterly fucking creepy it must be for the Cybertronians to see human vermin controling the dead body of one of your people. This is really horror movie material.

The new 'Bot- seeing how he recklessly rushed ahead of the others in that 1.5 second assault scene I also think it might be Sideswipe or someone with similar bravado.

But WTF no Starscream in the promo? I'm overusing an old joke here, but he's probably deaaaad. Wrapped in plastic.

 

It looks like Hot Shot crossed with the TFU Prowl.

Meg's new arm is made from parts of Dreadwing. Pause it and look, same colour scheme!
Also, Star saber? - likely due to relics
It looks like a full on battle so i presume thats a flashback with the new autobot saying how he escaped a battle on Cybertron. Either that or the ending battle of the series.
This version of Cliffjumper is likely a clone made by Shockwave, pretty sure he was hooked to a metal table in the trailer.
Shockwave seems to be in touch with Cybertron or something via the holoscreen.
Shockwave finally has the gun in his proper arm. His left arm. (Instead of the movie-verse right arm)
Shockwave looks like a cross between TF;WFC and TF; Animated
Silas is back, by the looks of things he is controlling Breakdown
Jack avoiding being crushed by something that looks about the same size as the sets of Unicron rock monsters

Still sticking with Breakaway.

I think that we'll get a few more characters in the season (Ultra Magnus) and then in S3 get the Star Seekers.

 

I am now pretty convinced that the new Autobot is Either Jazz or Prowl, because of the colour scheme and head design.
But, who knows? I'm looking forward to the episode and will be praying that the new Autobot is voiced by Nolan North
